why are you eating with your fingers?

did you just put a roll in your pocket?

aren't you suppose to put the butter on your bread plate first, and then spread it?

why is there different glasses depending on the color of wine you drink?

is it still a 'steak knife' if i'm cutting a pork chop?

I'd ask Jim what's that little intstrument thingee he plays on stage...

I'd ask them why they don't change up their set lists and play longer...

I'd ask them what DonDante is about...

I'd ask them if they like their pasta southern-whisky-drenched-in- reverb...

I'd ask them what that song is that's playing right before they take the stage...

I'd ask them why they ruined At Dawn by putting Honest Man on there...

I'd ask them why they ruined Z by putting Into the Woods on there...

I'd ask them why they ruined Evil Urges by putting Highly Suspicious on there...

I'd ask them if they are gay, and if so, what are their zodiac signs and who would they be married to if they liked women...

I'd ask them to pick up the check since I paid their way to the big time...

While the Beatles were hanging out with the Maharishi Yogi, Lennon thought it very important that he took a helicopter ride with him.  When asked why it was so important Lennon replied, "I thought that while we were up there he might slip me The Answer."

I would most likely ask Jim for all the secrets of the universe.

or, "hey Jim, can you pass me some of those superman pills that you take?"

They probably place bets before meeting fans. Will this one be a weird silent stalker or a nervous talker?
I for one can't be "normal" when in the presence of greatness. :-[

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I would probably just bullshit with him/them.  I would try not to be star struck.  Just ask him the same stuff I would ask anyone about their life when getting to know them.

I would tell them to stop meeting with their fans and get the hell back to making music.

I don't know what we're doing for jacketfest this year.  It's totally up-in-the-air at this point.  Feb or March seems to quick though.  February's almost over already.

I'd rather have it at someone's private residence this year rather than rent out a place or something. I'd like to have some bands, some games, and some camping. The first one was in July and it was hot when it wasn't raining, but we had a hell of a time anyway.  I'm open to ideas.

Can you guys tell more about Jacketfest? Like how many have there been? Where did you guys have it/them? What was it like? Are all Jacketeers invited? I have friends who are not on the forum, but have expressed interest in attending such a celebration....as would I!

The first (and only to this point) Jacketfest happened two years in Cave City, Kentucky.  It was a small gathering but we had peeps from as far as New York and California come to party with us.  We played games, sang songs, hung out, and camped for two days.  Although it was small and it rained on us I think most people there had a blast and made life-long friends.

Last year I was on sabbatical from the site so I didn't organize a Jacketfest and no one organized it in my stead.  I would like to do it again this year.  It seems like there is a lot of interest.  All we need is a time and a place and everything else has a way of falling into place. Maybe I'll start a thread about it soon and we can kick around some ideas.

Thanks aMD!!

That does sound like fun and like I said, I'm def interested and know some others who are as well.

About how many people were there? Did Cave City offer a campground or was there a member who hosted the get together? I really enjoy organizing things so if you need any help pulling something together let me know...I'd be happy to help out!  :)

We all went to the same camp site.  We talked about renting out the whole place the next year.  We could do that or something similiar somewhere else. Or someone's place.  I appreciate you offering your services.  Starting a thread...

EDIT: actually it can wait until tomorrow...
