Thought this could use its own thread, not sure what to call it..
Tonight on Letterman-Justin Townes Earle with Jason Isbell ;) :)
Great thread idea, Penny. Don't forget Monsters of Folk on Austin City Limits (PBS) sometime on or after Jan. 8th. "Check local listings."

Yeah, I couldn't find it (MoF on ACL) on the Boston-based PBS (WGBH). New Hampshire Public TV has it on Tuesday at midnight. So, don't assume it'll be on Saturday night.
To be safe, I've set Austin City Limits as a "series recording" on my DVR. It'll grab every episode of ACL on the HD versions of the 2 PBS stations I get up here.
DVR Fail for Black Keys- missed the 2nd performance.... what a bummer.
Watching MOF now.....JJ sounding sweet.....M Ward lovely as always.....now if I could just get over my Conor Oberst aversion.

It's just a personal taste thing...something in his voice, perhaps the vibrato is just too irritating. Also, the experience at the MOF show with the freaky emo conor fans sitting all around us crying and being way too serious for a live music show just turned me off. But that's just me, and jj and m ward made it more than worth it!
And Will Johnson is pretty freaking sweet as the 5th Monster :D
...did any of you catch this performance? As some of you may know I love this band, have seen them grow up from their first album, through the modest fame their last album brought them and am psyched for Smart flesh coming out late Feburary. Have talked to Ben throughout the making of this album and if all is true it should be something special...
