I have a Master's degree in Geography, and I can tell you that "Canada" doesn't exist, except as a figment of cheesemuffin's, Jaimoe's, and others' minds. It is less well known by its actual name of North Maine (or East Alaska, if you ask Sarah Palin) and the pretense of its status as a sovereign nation is perpetuated to keep its inhabitants from coming down here and bringing their beer with them.

I have even visited this land a few times, and once saw our boys in Montreal!

Palin is the world leading expert on all things Canada... 'cause she can see it from her backyard.

It was in 2005 and they were opening for Wilco. Hell of a trip, I loved Montreal, and said "je ne parle pas francais" to everybody I talked to. I won $50 playing craps at the casino  (Canadian $, but whatever), and drove a lap around the race track in my jeep.

I've had a few too many fucked up nights in Montreal.  Its just close enough, so that if I was wasted enough, me and my buds would roadtrip for an overnight.  Its all a blur from my younger days.  I'd love to go back for a Jacket show.

Although I would love to see MMJ do a full Canadian tour (not just 3 eastern cities) I have always traveled to see them and I kind of like it that way. This year it is all about Bonnaroo!!!!!

Broke-ass student  :(  I'd love to hit up Bonnaroo this year (MMJ will obviously be there) but too poor right now. Ah well...
And Canada was defined above. A bit off.. forgot the moose, maple syrup, bagged milk, and hockey

ALL THINGS I CAN GET IN VERMONT! I'm starting to think you're playing a joke on us and your "Canada". Next you're gonna tell me Justin Bieber is a boy and not Ellen Page's latest movie role

So not even an hour after my last post a radio station in town announces the Black Keys coming to Calgary for the first time. The show is 2 weeks after Bonnaroo and I literally just bought Bonnaroo tickets. Hilarious, murphy's law.

bahaha I know, right? Seems like they're going to be everywhere but Ottawa though. I could trip to MTL or London or TO if I wanted buuuut I'll just see them at Bonnaroo. and you can do the same!
