I forgot to thank you for this Choder!  What an awesome resource!  I've only dabbled in a few areas but have already found it to be so helpful.  In the snobby world of metal where everyone makes such a huge deal about defining and cataloging a band's sound into some ridiculously obscure sub-genre, this map has helped me to understand some that I was not familiar with.  I wish I could have a blown up poster of it as well.

True to form, a short while after Metal does something, Seattle goes and does it all half-assed yet somehow pulls it off quite well
