Title: Best earphones?
Post by: Clarkwork on Jun 19, 2011, 08:40 AM
I'm looking to buy new earphones. Anybody suggest a really good kind?  I am pretty picky about how they sound so would like something great. Thanks

I got myself a pair of Ultimate Ears and I love them!  They are pretty expensive but the sound is AMAZING for earbuds.  Not sure if you were looking for a set of over ear head phones or inner ear but I can definitely say that these are the best I have ever owned.

I like most of shure's ear buds.  of all the brands they're straight solid.

Ultimate ears look pretty nice. Can you tell a difference with these?  I use ear phones alot so if they are good it will be worth the investment.

It depends on what you want to spend but for my money, these are the best you can get for under $100.

I'm on my second pair in 6 years and these can't be beat.  Consistently reviewed as one of the best bargains in audio.

Agreed. I love my Shures. Got a pair of SE420s (http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/shure-se420-sound-isolating/4505-7877_7-32327763.html?tag=mncol;lst;2). You can get them for much less than retail. Before that, I had the E3Cs. Very comfortable fit and sound quality is incredible.

I travel a lot, and my pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 15 are great on planes, with the best sound I've heard from a noise-cancelling set: http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/bose-quietcomfort-15/4505-7877_7-33766864.html?tag=mncol;lst;1 (http://reviews.cnet.com/headphones/bose-quietcomfort-15/4505-7877_7-33766864.html?tag=mncol;lst;1)

i wear headphones all the time. my favorites being bose over the ear. i've had my pair for a long while now with now problems at all. i LOVE them.

earbuds are a different beast. i never liked my bose earbuds. i also tried some shure's as well and didnt like them very much. I can't remember which model number but i remember them wrapping over my ears and into my ear canal.

this is going to sound crazy but my absolute favorite earbuds are marshmallows made by jvc. they're 20 bucks and the cancel a lot of noise and the sounds is wonderful. i've bought three pair just in case i lose a pair. i've already lost one pair. i'm down to two. check them out. and if you dont like them it doesnt break the band too much.

i just looked at my earbuds i have the HA-FX33 model.
