Title: Circuital on Billboard charts
Post by: johnnYYac on Jul 06, 2011, 08:55 PM
Some questions about how Circuital has been doing.  Here's the latest from a number of Billboard charts.

On the left, the number in pink is the current ranking.  On the right, the first gray number is last week's position; the second is the number of weeks its been on the chart; the third number is Circuital's position last week.

Circuital has been out 4 weeks.
Its first week peaked at #5.
Its second week was #18 (75000 copies sold).
Last week it was #37.
This week its #49.

In niche markets, its also doing quite well.  Rolling Stone also noted it at #1 in the "College Radio Top 10 Albums" ranking during its second week.

Here's the chart history for their other albums, except Tenn. Fire and At Dawn, which never penetrated the charts.

These are screen captures and the album artwork is at the bottom of each image.  On the left, the number in pink is the peak position.  On the right, the gray number indicated total number of weeks on that chart.

You don't think the way you posted this makes it seem like it sold 75,000 copies in week 2 as opposed to the reality, that it had sold about 75,000 in the first 2 weeks combined?
