alright, the time is getting near. just under two months until it's time to rock. whose going?
1.) StickyIcky +2
I will be there (will be my fourth show)
I got row P and am trying to get better, additional tix. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I get row P the second they went on pre-sale. SOMEONE has to have A-N. They are not on stubhub, ebay, etc. :-X

when show gets closer you might have better luck. still plenty of time to sort it out.
iLikebeer and others from the other thread where you at? we gotta keep the hype building now. I'm committed to this show and am spending the next month and a half or so getting in shape for it. after this concert I'm going to be out of commission for at least 3days. I'm really satisfied with what these sets have ended up looking like and the little treasures they bust out are all great songs. I'm not watching anymore videos from this tour until after this particular show. I'm not going to listen to a mmj album. pure mmj sobriety. then when 8/16 comes I'll puke from excitement. where is everybody at again?
who else is in the pit with me? we must collectively rage harder than the boner in my pants. people in seats within the first 26letters will still be able to yell and connect to the band. meadow brook is a tiny amp compared to places like DTE. have you been there before bluebugsy? I had row H for primus and it was unbelievable, 8 rows behind that on a slope, row P should be visually sound and you should get hit with a nice clean mix. I'm sure there's somebody's d you can s around here to get better tickets tho. even tho I think you got legit seats for general onsale. not sure when we'll be able to get there but we will have ice cold beers and munchies for any friends here. maybe even some magic snacks. muahahah! can not wait. let's make the place crumble.
I've got tickets to the shows in Toronto and Montreal next week, but for some reason I find myself more pumped for this Meadow Brook show -- perhaps because I scored myself some pit tickets.
The pit will rage, indeed.

I might rip my own face off. way too pumped.
Sticky:
Yeah, been to Meadowbrook a few times. Lovely venue, though the angle of the hill amkes lawn difficult if you've had a few "pops". Would have preferred Hill, the Opera House, or even the Fox, but, hey, I'll take what I can get. I could've gone pit, but am going with the (4'11") wife, so that wasn't a real option. You are correct in that P is not so bad as they actually skip a few rows for some reason (I, O, etc.). I'm just right of center, so at least on on the JJ side of the stage.
Peace
I'm soooo glad it's not at the fox. that's the only venue in michigan I've ever gotten kicked out of. I'm diggin the outside in august thang.
meadow brook tailgating on the grass aint too shabby.
I went to montreal too. Can't wait to see them at an outdoor venue though. Tailgating will be in the form of disc golfing for me...there's a course on site.

never been to the OU disc golf course. there's a huge one called "Addison Oaks" right down adams from there. it's definitely worth checking out if you have a few free hours. it's quite huge and deep within the woods.
my friend is getting pumped, he keeps asking me if I think they'll play Phone Went West. haha, a month away.
3 weeks!

any songs on your wishlist for this show? if I get ANY of the following my nuts will be solidly satisfied:
1.) Phone Went West (because my friend whose going is fucking OBSESSED with this song and he's not too familiar with their entire catalog yet, pretty sure he's never heard any of the recent versions and I know it'll kick him in the face so fuckin hard once they start jammin on it).
2.) War Begun - need it. never seen it. need it real good.
3.) I Will Sing You Songs - I want to fuck this song.
4.) Masterplan - I also want to fuck this song.
that's all. everything else would be a cherry on top.

That Phone Went West was incredible. being there, that alone to me would have been worth admission. so good. I will sing you songs is a song I've heard but it's really been stuck in my brain lately so I hope it pops out. I don't think I've seen it since 05. they've matured much since then as has the song. The Bear is a desperate hope for me. It's the one song I expect to never ever hear. if I do, my nips rip thru my shirt. this shit is on.

we should have a rock off. everyone in this thread who is there try and rock the hardest you've ever rocked no matter the circumstances. once the lights go out let's make their ears bleed.
looking at their setlist from the last time they played detroit (lay low, dondante, all of run thru, cobra(!!)), i don't think it'll be hard.
all the anticipation for this show is making me strongly consider going to columbus next monday.
how dare this thread not be above all the rest. yo CC you should sticky this thread since it's going to be the best show of the tour.
T minus two weeks and counting.
damn it, red rocks got strangulation.
if that can't happen i'm holding out for just because i do.
Hello all. First post here, as a new MMJ fan. Never listened to them until this year's Bonnaroo lineup came out in February. I was hooked soon after, and absolutely loved their set there (best of the weekend). Meadow Brook will be my second show and I couldn't be more excited. The only thing that worries me is that I got excellent seats through Ticketmaster the other day. Row E, seats 101-102 (right on the center aisle). It almost doesn't seem legit that I got such great tickets just two weeks before the show. I've read the order receipt about a million times now, and it still says Row E Seats 101-102, through Will Call. It just doesn't seem right haha. Can anyone ease my worried mind? Anyone else get good seats simply through general Ticketmaster sale?

awesome. those seats are going to be pretty much perfect. went thru roll call for this show but I will say a couple years ago smashing pumpkins straight up sold out and then two weeks before the show I got row P dead center on the aisle. prepare yourself for intensity. don't forget your pacemaker.
Haha good to know man! I tried a few times actually, originally getting row P. A few rounds later I landed on row E in the center and was like nooo way. I'm beyond excited. So happy I found this band.
Damn, this show is only a week away?! Sure crept up on me. Guess it's time to book a hotel.
I'm thinking of just staying in Auburn Hills, close to the OU campus and walking to the venue. Is this a dumb idea?

Haha not in central Auburn Hills, right on the outskirts -- 3315 University Drive to be precise. Barely Auburn Hills at all. Looks like it'll be a hassle-free walk, but... I could be very wrong?
1 week til we get our shit rocked.
everybodies getting me pumped hell yeah. can't believe it's next week already.
Ill be there.
Dang im stoked. This will be my 3rd time. On June 27 I bought my ticket. It says row p2 seat 116. Is that P or PP? PP would male more sense but I didn't buy it that long after they went on sale. Plus, my friend bought a tick like a week afterwords and it's p2 118. I just did a test and acquired a seat in row s. Closer than PP. What's goin on. When did u buy yer tick and where is it?

I bought my tickets less than two weeks ago and got row E, seats 101-102. So 5th row on the center aisle. I have nooo idea how I got those seats so close to the show...

that is strange. maybe since you're so close you get a seat and can wander into the pit if you choose? that would be awesome. who knows. mine just says "GA Pit (GA Pit)" and it was like 40bucks + 7in charges per ticket. was there a price difference between certain types of tickets? lawn I assume was like 10bucks cheaper? haven't been to meadow brook in a while. great outdoor venue. saw yonder mountain and the flecktones there and the acoustics sounded tiiight for outside.

First MMJ concert for me. I'm wondering if anyone is recording and bringing good ol Syd along! I saw the Mars Volta in 09 but no one recorded the show but shit happens. Just hoping there is a concertphile out there that'll give us other 'philes the good deed! Other than that I'll definitely be :D

my friends head will explode if we get phone went west. so that's probably my number one at the minute.
i hadn't thought about it makes no difference until just now, but yes, please. jim was born to sing that song.
also, it doesn't mean anything, but i had a dream last night that they covered hank's "kawliga"...
After much deliberation, I think my one request for this show has gotta be Strangulation. Or maybe I Think I'm Going To Hell? Actually, It's About Twilight Now.
Clearly I still have some deliberating to do.
Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled out a tune that hasn't been played yet this tour. They've been whipping out surprises every night, no reason to stop now!
they mentioned the meadow brook show on the Craig Fahle Show today on WDET. travis wright said something about them being the best live rock band alive right now or something. I told craig the host he needs to setup an interview with jim or the band or something before the show since detroit music is such a huge part of their influences. would be cool but I'm not going to hold my breath. nice to hear them getting respect and high praise here.
I am debating whether or not to go, but I haven't found anyone to go with. I have this day off work.

I'm not sure when I'm getting there yet. still waiting to hear back from my friends but you and everybody else is welcome to swing on by where ever we end up chillin til the show starts. we might not get there until show time, which is my worry. I need to energize with booze beforehand if I want to truly help the band get into the zone. once the show starts nobody talks anyway. maybe take a few doobies if you blaze and mingle with the people around you. it's on a tuesday so it's not like you have to stay out late. hit the show dude, hit the show. you'll regret it if you don't. get two tickets and take somebody, anybody who might like it. sometimes money is the only factor for people and it's a good present.

Good call. It would be pretty sweet. It was the runner-up choice to Steam Engine in the online fan poll for encore at Unstaged in L'ville 5/31. I'd think the fact they offered it as a choice means they're itching to play it.

Hey man. I'm still here and getting truly psyched for a beautiful evening in Detroit on Tuesday! Been a hectic couple of weeks with some family camping sandwiched around last Monday's Jacket show in C'bus so I haven't been frequenting the board as much!
Any places close to the venue to grab a few good beers (Oberon or some other tasty Bells Beers on tap?) and some grub for some energy? My wife and I are staying at a hotel off of I75 about 4 miles from Meadow Brook and I'm hoping to get there around 4 or so.

Gotta say, after seeing what they pulled off in Columbus just last week and seeing all of these incredible setlists they keep busting out, I am really excited to see what they pull out of their hats on Tuesday!
I've really been itching for Phone as that is one song that has eluded my ears live thus far. And I about lost it when I heard them bust out Strangulation in C'bus last Monday as I thought there would be no way in hell that song would be played again so quickly after they played it at Red Rocks!
After Phone, I'd have to side with some of the other requests including IWSYS, War Begun and I also concur that IWBTWYD would kick some ass as well!
We've got pit tix as well for anyone else looking to meet up. Anyone know when the gates open?
To anyone who has been to MeadowBrook before, is the venue strictly no-smoking? Am I going to get tackled if faint smoke clouds arise from the pit?

yeah dude I can't remember what's out there tho, it's been forever since I drove out that way. it's literally right on OU's campus and it's a really wealthy, high end area. there's a macaroni grill and shit like that out there. not sure about bar quality, sure there is somewhere to wet your whistle close by. can't believe it's tuesday, hope patrick is feeling better by then.

OU has police that scope their shit. it's the only venue I've seen where actually police were in the venue along the edges. but that was years ago. it's like any outdoor venue, smoking on the lawn aint no thing, but if you're blazing doobies in front of security you might have a problem. I'm sure you can smoke as many cigarettes as you want tho.

Hey there...there is an excellent local brew pub a little over 4 miles from Meadowbrook. It's called the Rochester Mills Beer Co. and the address is 400 Water Street, Rochester, MI 48307. It's in an old factory. The food is great and the beer is tasty. We've eaten there quite a few times. I highly recommend it! In fact, we will be there before the show.

Is the PD there a bunch of pricks or what??? I'm not used to having to deal with such a heavy police presence at shows?! :(
BTW, what are Michigan's pot laws? In Ohio, we are one of the more lax states when it comes to busting people with pot as I think if you have under an 1/8th of an ounce it's just nothing more than a traffic ticket. Is Michigan more strict about this? Or is it just the hoity toity burbs of Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills trying to make life miserable for us??? ::)
I was planning on bringing a couple of j's with me to the show, but all of this talk about heavy police presence has me a little skeptical... :-\
don't let me bug you out.
I'm going to do what they make you do at pine knob. put my beer in a cup. the only time I ever got fucked with was when it wasn't in a cup and the punishment was "put it in a cup".
weed, I wouldn't be worried about it anymore than anywhere else. they're not going to lock you up or anything. it's harsher than a traffic ticket tho. cops won't fuck with you if you are low key and don't draw attention. be alert, and rock hard.

Have Iolite, will travel.... ;)
About to depart for the show from Toronto. See you in the pit!
Roughly 6 hours until my second MMJ show!
damn it's hot out today.
Just showed up to pick up our tickets, which you can't do until 5:30. MMJ were doing their soundcheck they were playing Crowded House's "Don't Dream it's Over (Hey Now)" It sounded awesome. Bad news is they aren't letting anyone hang out till 5:30. Not sure if this is their typical policy or what but I think it's BS. So we're gonna come back around 3:30.
it's at least 20 degrees cooler than the last time i saw them (bonnaroo), so no complaints here.
meadow brook lists the capacity of the pit at 110...this is going to be insane guys.

yes my friend, yes it is.
Ok I phoned in and a very nice lady by the name of Heidi informed us that the guy we talked to was just being a tool. They let people show up @ 3:30.
Good god, they just soundchecked "I Will Sing You Songs". My excitement level has reached chipmunk.
damn, i was praying we would get iwsys in cincy tomorrow. that song is my holy grail.

awesomeHave a good time tonight, folks. I hope you're rocked into another dimension, Sticky!
live updates from the show? if ya can?
Neko case said that there would be a new duet at the show tonight....
koo
i wonder if its gonna be dont dream its over
sorry im being facetious
or blame it on the rain by Milli Vanilli - Jim being Rob, Neko being Fab
i only said that because on the last page somone said they heard it in their sound check
I don't know much, but I know I love you....
well, it rocked hard. look me off guard at times. took me beyond where I expected to be. knowing Phone Went West was suppose to close sucks BUT war begun took it so far past perfect. touch me pt. 2->touch me pt 1 ending->war begun. jizz factory. lowdown, bone bone bone boner. perfect. it was a blur I was disrespectful to those around me in the pit, danced way too hardcore probably. I'm exhausted. sweat drenched. Lay Low->Dondante had a legitamate Jam in between. a LONG jam. nothing I've ever heard them do. suuuuuuuuuuper psychedelic. have no idea what that neko cover was but my friend mug knew it and said neko FUCKED it up big time in a bad way. it was decent. would have rather had phone went west. quality show. I kept making weird faces at jim. i hope it tripped him out.
oh yeah I almost forgot. Wonderful was accapella until the drums kicked in. Jim played no guitar during the sound. he pushed the guitar tech away when he tried to hand him his guitar. it was awesome.
Wow... It was indescribably epic! We were front center and we can longer hear or feel our legs.
we must have been really close then. i was on the rail right in front of jim.

Yeah, you must have been at least two people over from our right. We were next to a blonde & a brunette girl. I can't remember the names of the couple that were to their right & i think next to them was a girl named Devon(?) and a tall guy in a blue shirt.
Well I am still trying to wrap my head around last nights show. It was great to see Neko Case, she has an amazing voice. Her band was solid. Since I was so amped, I kinda felt like I was floating outside my body. There is something truly magical about being able to see the guys from the front row - I can't even explain it. Besides watching the "show" and absorbing the music, I got to see little nuances and expressions (facial and musical). As one song ended, it morphed into another song and I was totally enamored.
It seemed like there were many tech problems during the show. Jim pretty much had to sing Wonderful acapella due to multiple issues. He really ran with it and it was pretty intimate with him singing right over us in our faces. Lay Low into Dondante into Gideon - oh my word. I agree with Sticky. He said it was nothing he'd ever heard them do. I agree. I have seen the guys 7 times (and of course each show is different), but it really felt magical - it was magical. It was ecstasy.
And as always, the fans are great. I always run into the nicest people at Jacket shows. Personally, being around a nice crowd makes the experience even better. That's my take.

Great pics, Sticky. I'm happy for you. Seems MMJ accidentally gave you my War Begun, but that's okay. Sucks knowing about songs cut from the setlist, especially one you wanted.
(brief Yacking - I snagged a Boston setlist from Ryan Pickett with Wonderful not crossed off. At first I'm like, did they play it and I was too wasted to remember? Then I realized I haven't heard Wonderful in any of the 5 shows this year. Seems you got my Wonderful, too.)
What did ya think of live First Light. I've loved it from the start, but lots of folks put it at the bottom of the list.
I also need a description of Lowdown. Someone said it was rocked out. Must have recording.
Anyway, glad you got your show, got some War, didn't get arrested, etc.
1) I was there last night and it was amazing. Roll Call status paid off in a huge way.
2) "Lowdown" and "War Begun" were the highlights for me. This was my 12th show over the years and this was as good as any setlist - although they played "The Dark" once in Chicago in 2006 and that was just unreal. I digress... "Phone Went West" is a huge favorite of mine as well and I think it would have made my head explode. I also am blaming Neko's technical difficulties.
3) This band is just so consistently kick ass. I made the comment recently that following MMJ on tour is like following your favorite baseball team over the summer - except they kick ass and win every night in spectacular fashion. They have done a good job making many of their shows accessible via the interweb. And of course, it's just a special feeling to be there live whenever possible.
4) If you give me, or rather my internet connection, about another hour or so, I will have 5 full songs taken in stunning HD from just in front of Jim posted on the ol' Youtube - Off the Record, Lowdown, Touch Me Pt 1, Wonderful, and .... War Begun.

I think they are up now on YT, search 'My Morning Jacket Detroit 2011'
What an incredible show, 6th time seeing the band and they amaze me every time. So many highlights.
1.)Dondante-What happened here? a 20 minute(?) long version done like never before. A special moment in time. I've never heard the song like this.
2.)Lowdown-Beautiful intro jam and beautiful version of the song
3.)War Begun-Need I say more?
4.)The tune with Neko...Never listened to her before but am an instant fan.
Plus the classics of the tour, Victory Dance had a slow build that rocked hard, Wordless Chorus, Touch me 2 right into touch me 1. I just can't say enough about this show.
Awesome poster, awesome people, beautiful weather. Great night.
Anyone have a recording of Dondante? I want to relive it and show my friends the 'new' version. It was stellar.

that war begun set me off my. so so so so so so so sooooo glad they're not ending with smokin-runthru->touch pt 2 anymore. it makes that ending so much more wild. when they played first light it jammed. still think they need to jam that end out more. it was short and random but fit perfect. the touch me part 1 after part 2 was PERFECT placement and I figured that was pretty much it but then bam! WAR BEGUN! it was like getting punched a good 10 or 15times in the stomach. the you wanna freak out placement as 3rd was really cool too. its what I needed to keep my brain fresh. after that it was just nuts. Lowdown came so early it was surreal, didn't set in at first. I leaned to my friend "this is rare dude". and it rocked.
I kept trying to give jim weird looks but every time he'd look away before making eye contact. he was in all our faces up front, totally awesome. everybody looked to be having a great time. Patrick was KILLING it last night, he was on fire.

I just kept reinforcing the awesome that was happening. whenever a jam was getting insane or he was just laying down a sick lead I'd kind give him this "oh yeah bitch, that's what I'm talking about look" spaz out, etc. I was soaked in sweat. the only time I stood still was wonderful. sat there, caught my breath. laughed when jim hit the guitar tech with his chord telling him to get away from him with that damned guitar haha. that wonderful vocal only first verses was really good, the crowd put in a good effort singing with jim.

;D Sounds like an incredible night...wonderful Acapella and that TM pt II into pt I into War Begun is blowing my mind just thinking about it. Come to think of it, I dont know why they dont play TM pt II into pt I more often. I've always thought of them as a seamless single song anyway.

haha!! I was totally "that guy" at this show. it's been years since I've seen them, too much pent of energy. I actually had like room. I felt like those dudes at bonnaroo who just spin around in circles while not giving a fuck and people let him go at it. haha. right before we went in my friend bigelow goes "hey, want some whiskey?" and it's like fuck. "..yeah.." fucking convinced this band needs the crowd to be awesome for them to peak out like they did last night. not belligerent drunk, but drunk enough to where the crowd totally lets go of fear of looking stupid.
matt/ilikebeer - really sorry we didn't meet up. I got too wasted and by the time I got the texts the show was already going down.

I'm most anxious to hear more about this jam between lay low and dondante...
the key here is once lay low started it set the place off. everybody in the house and on the lawn really let loose. the lay low went into heavy rock interplay, I'm not sure if jim set a loop or what but then they just sorta jammed on this really psychedelic groove/lead thing it was substantial. it was just for a second, it evolved into a little thing. but the weird part about it was dondante started underneath it. patrick got it going and jim started singing as the jam was still going a little bit, then in tappered back into a normalish, but still faster paced dondante. the solos in dondante weren't typical in either section. when jim did the riffs that trigger the next section there was jamming and grooving over top of it like no other. it. was. intense. everything was so loose and free all night. everybody seemed to be feeling good.

there's the link to my photo album from the show last night.
Well I just rolled back into Woo town after a freaking epic night in Rochester Hills! Took a little detour to Ann Arbor this morning to eat at one of my favorite diners to replenish my body with a lot of greasy goodness after expending so much during the show last night! :D
All I have to say is I would pretty much echo everyone's wonderful reviews that have already been written. There were so many highlights: Wonderful acapella with the crowd singing along, Lowdown, War Begun, the epic Dondante. When I saw that set-list with Phone crossed off, I almost cried, but, as I shared with my wife as we ate breakfast, that show was already epic. I don't know if my brain could have handled Phone last night on top of all the epic goodness that show already brought! :D I would also add how I am so freaking glad I took the plunge with the Roll Call membership! Just getting tix to the Circuital release show in Louisville paid for the membership in and of itself. But getting into the pit last night at Meadow Brook was effing AWESOME! I had never been to this venue so I wasn't prepared at how freaking small the Pit actually was and when my wife and I walked in and looked down I was like, Oh yeah, it's on mf'ers!!! 8)
Sticky/Mark, bummer about not getting to meet up with you as well. You must have been just to the right of us judging by the angle of your photos! Hopefully we can meet up the next time MMJ comes through Detroit and hopefully they don't wait so long to get back there. My wife and I were directly in front of Jim on the step up from the pit so she could have a better view as she's a bit vertically challenged. Being that close completely changes my perspective on wanting to get as close as possible in all future shows I attend!
Funny story from last night. They gave us wristbands to wear to allow us to get into the pit at the will-call window. As my wife and I are walking into the venue heading for the porta-johns, these 3 pigs are standing behind the ticket building and call out to us asking us what's with the freaking wrist-bands we had on? I'm thinking why the hell wouldn't they know what the wristbands are for and what the hell do they think they are, laced with lsd or something??? ;D Several fans saw us getting harrassed and were joining in telling me I was targeted a) because I had a Dead shirt on and b) because of my beard! 8) So, I did get to have a brief encounter with Oakland's finest after all Sicky! ;)

Awesomeness! Thank you!!!
did anybody notice any tapers?
WOW.
What a War Begun!!!! Good christtttttt
Thanks for posting the videos!!!
What a show! My third show of the tour and it seems they just keep getting better. Cannot believe they busted out War Begun. Completely awesome. I concur with others that they seemed very loose and into the jams tonight -- the way they segued into Gideon was really awesome. Had no idea what they were gonna play at that point, nice to see Gideon so late in the set.
Dondante was at least an hour long. An hour of awesome.
Lay Low just tore shit up. I've seen this song countless times, yet it never fails to rock.
The acapella Wonderful was another huge highlight. Everyone stompin' and singing along, just a magical moment.
Again, War Begun -- holy shit. Watch the video. Thank you so much to the taper.
Stop Draggin' My Heart Around was so fuckin' fun. Had a blast. I don't know who she is, but Neko's female back-up singer in the suit jacket had an awesome voice. Was really nailin' those harmonies.
The pit was a blast. Lots of pretty ladies singing the words to every tune -- Jim was givin' them all some serious doses of eye-fuckin'. My girlfriend turned to me after a five-second stare down with Jim in Touch Me Pt. 1 and looked like she was about to faint. Jealous.
It was also great to see TwoTone flashing that great shit-eatin' grin from start to finish. During I'm Amazed I was hypnotized by his bass lines, and I guess I was staring at his fingers for a while, locked in with the groove. I looked up to his face and he was staring right at me -- so I quickly gave him the double thumbs up and a huge smile and he laughed pretty hard. What an awesomely intimate show.
God I love this band.

hope my antics weren't caught! I was literally a few steps to the right of that dude with the big head and long hair on the rail. first time I've been on jim/bo's side. it was nice. could have touched him when he leaned over the edge.
So, I just want to reiterate what everyone else has said about the show...it was BADASS.
I've been a MMJ fan for probably about 6 years now. I saw them on Late Night with Conan O'Brian around that time, and got into them shortly after that.
This was my first MMJ show. I've always been wanting to go, but either 1) didn't have the time to make it to the show or 2) nobody was interested in going (unfortunately, none of my friends have taken in MMJ like I have) but anyway, I must say, this show fuckin' rocked. I mean, the best thing about seeing a band like this is the fact that going into it, you know you're going to know the entire setlist - you just don't get that with any other band - well, at least I don't haha.
One song I somehow missed over the years of listening to them is War Begun. I always see people raging about the song on here and how much they want to see it - didn't really understand that until we saw it last night! 8)
By far, the best concert I've ever been to. From the lights, to the sound, to the show overall, it was just fuckin' epic in every way possible. I mean, who could ask for more? Every song is CD quality or BETTER and this is live shit!
Really looking forward to next year. I jumped on tickets pretty late, so I was up in GG - hopefully next year I can get in the pit, or at the very least, front few rows.
Rock on!

Great Vids BN! Thanks for upping!
I enjoyed the guitarless Wonderful and War Begun was sweet as always. The geetar DOH at the 1:30 mark on Lowdown good stuff.
If only you had a vid of Sticky hitting the deck :-\ ;D
Anyone taped the show? I was hoping for some repeated hearings of the great show. I don't see any listings on the show taping section or archive.org Also  to the people wearing dead shirts! :

did anybody see me wipe out in the pit? during the beginning of the show I was jumped and shit and fell over like such a douche bag. but I got back up and started jumping again. that's what up, that's what it takes to rock at an mmj show sons and daughters.
;D Nice Sticky  I would have tried to pee on you.
This might be the funniest and most apropos post I've ever read. ;D Glad you had a good time, Stick. I'd love to see you in a pit!

It definitely brings a smile to my face to know other people out there connect with this band as much as I do. Glad I could share.
It was so cool being so close that you can read the facial expressions of the band. The mischief and excitement in Jim's eyes when they first came out was tangible. As was the intensity of Patrick - I was in awe of him that night.
love the videos, thank you! Lowdown was fantastic!!! And of course, War Begun! Whoa!
really hoping this got recorded. I've yet to be to a detroit show where somebody taped and posted it up. didn't in 05, didn't in 08, hoping 2011 is the year of the taper and we'll get lucky.
Looking back now, we had a really f'in sweet set list!
Is anyone willing to youtubetomp3 the videos recorded from the show. i've seen a couple of them and they seem rip quality. If so, could you then upload it through mediafire or wherever. I would do it, but my computer has really been slow. If no one does it, I'll probably be able to in a month or two, when i can get the cash to fix this comp
I ended up with a pretty solid video of One Big Holiday. Check it out:

Kind of a cool view, too, since we were in the back a bit. Looks like the rest of the videos are from the pit.
pretty sweet vibe thanks for posting. I wish the lay low->jam->dondante would pop up on the ol' youtube. I think people were too busy cleaning the shit out of their pants to tape it.
Got a solid video of Stop Draggin' My Heart Around ~
