Was skimming through the old interweb today and stumbled across a songwriting competition that has My Morning Jacket as a judge! Along with them they also had Tom Waits, Jeff Beck, Ozzy Osbourne, and Ray Wylie Hubbard along with many more. They have over $150,000 in prizes to give away and the winner gets $25,000 in stone cold cash. They have 22 categories to enter into and from what I was reading they have had numerous winners and finalist go on to get signed by major record labels and have hit singles and albums. I don't know, I thought all you Jacket Fans would appreciate this since a lot of you are probably musicians yourself as am I.
