Wow these are super excellent! I'd really love to check out some Mesa Boogie amps.

Those pictures at source audio are sweet too, Carl's effects board is relatively light, which I love.

Sara - those radio videos are awesome! I like his look with glasses too.

This just got me super excited to see him at The Montrose room come May 7th, just after the my Columbus trip :) Thanks!

I never noticed this on "Lose What's Left" but he has a real Paul McCartney-ness to his voice.

I'm super excited to see him solo, 1) I feel like it's a pretty rare occurrence 2) I've loved "Lose What's Left" since I got it in May of '08  and 3) I think it should be pretty easy to meet him given the size of this venue. I'm going to bring the poster I'll be grabbing in Columbus for him to sign.

It's at this place, never been but it looks like it has potential!

Thanks, I can't wait! I'll have pictures and full report on The Steam Engine by the next day for sure!

Between this and the anticipation for Columbus, god, I can barely make it through the day.

I don't want to steal Jason's thunder, so go to his blog for the details:

New Carl album due in August!  Download a new Carl tune, too!

I was just gonna post about this. Love that new song. It sounds so calm. I can't wait to hear the rest.

I found this article but I bet the Steam Engine blog has all the info already.

Now Mr Broemel, when you get a minute, please (pretty please) tour your new album in Oz (and bring MMJ with you). I'm sure I could find like 5 people to show up if you played Sydney.

Since this is a "Carl" thread, here's your chance to own a Converse shoe signed by Carl Broemel at Bonnaroo.  Bidding starts at $50.

"A classic white Converse shoe provided the perfect blank canvas for artists and bands at the 2008 and 2009 Bonaroo Music and Arts Festival. A slew of bands lent their names, creativity, and personal touch to these Chuck Taylors donated by Converse.

This shoe in particular was personalized by My Morning Jacket to make it a one-of-a-kind! Bid on this unique Chuck or collect them all!"

The eBay listing (I love that they state it was signed by My Morning Jacket and the toe actually has the words "My Morning Jacket" in Sharpie).  It was actually only signed by Carl:
