How DO you top T-5?
1. A tour of the south where they only play in abandoned barns.
2. A tour only for current Roll Call members where they only play at roller skating rinks.

3. My Morning Jacket cruise to the Caribbean, complete with 4-hour shows every night
4. Special Roll Call only show, where fans choose the setlist
A MMJ-festival! Woop, woop! :D :)
Agree that the cruise would be cool, I have never been on/to Jam Cruise but i think it would be a nice vacation/setting to see the band playing 4-hour sets on our way to some Caribbean destinations.

I think this is the winner, and reasonably plausible. Like a PJ-20 or the Wilco festival - headlining MMJ show each night, Carl and Jimmy solo shows, and misc opening bands from the bands history playing during the day.
Ding ding ding.

I can only dream it's one of these. It could happen, right? ;)
They don't seem like the type of band to do a cruise
their own fest is my personal dream

Yeah, I know but a girl can dream, right?
None of these suggestions top T5. An MMJ festival would IN NO WAY top T5 because it would include other bands, and a lot of stupid stuff that comes along with festivals. T5 was straight up 15 hours of MMJ, MMJ die hards, booze, NYC, Johhnny Quaid, Carl playing Joe's Pub, hearing songs you'll never ever hear live again. I feel bad saying that but...the only thing that can sustain us is hope of future shows that will even be a fraction of the satisfaction and the nostalgia of one of the greatest weeks of all our lives...but it's not even a question..I wish we all could have been there. Whatever this announcement is, it will in no way top what's happened in the past so we may as well put that issue to bed and focus on the future. Life is short and I will take anything this band is willing to give with open arms ;) :)
Never wanted a weekend to go by so fast!

I disagree. If there was a festival where I could see Vedder and James share the stage again, I'd rather see that than If It Smash Down live...
I agree though that whatever they do in the future, I'm never going to be bummed out because it didn't top something else. That'd be a sad way to take it all in.

that's blasphemy! I don't need MMJ to share the stage with anyone..
but i will accept your opinion and congratulate you on one month of non-smoking ;)

As I said somewhere else, only could be topped with a backyard party concert. I have a big backyard and a big house. Everyone's invited.
a nice 4th of july BBQ with lots of IPAs and meats and an mmj concert for forum members only

I butcher my own hog every winter so I would have a deep freeze of delicious pork.

I can get behind this idea.
T6 at Levon Helms barn would beat t5. Jacket asking me to be to them what The Enemy was to Stillwater would be better than t5...
