How much were the pit and soundcheck tickets.  Not a member of roll call, but might have to join... Also, how many of each can a roll call member buy?

My pit/soundcheck ticket was $85. It seemed kinda steep but I knew I'd regret not doing the soundcheck if I didn't get it. Not real sure about the number of tickets that can be purchased at once.

I picked up 4 GA soundcheck tix and would rather have 4 reserved.  Did anybody get reserved who would rather have GA?  Let me know here or through PM.
Thanks.

I got 2 pit tickets on the presale. I guess the soundcheck preshow party was already sold out. Had I have known that was an option I would have got mine already and signed up for the fan club. Pit tickets is still fine with me though.

Hm, the site shows that soundcheck packages for GP are still available. Maybe the "tickets only" option on the menu on the right was chosen instead of the bundle? (The menu setup certainly threw me initially.)

I agree My Monkey Friend, I'm so psyched about them coming back to Dallas! ;D  My first time to see them was in 08, in D-town, which is the last time they came through there.  I have a question, if anyone knows anything:  Do people have the option to get the soundcheck tix on Ticketmaster?  I also tried for the reserved but only got pit.

I know they offered soundcheck to non-Roll Call-ers at one or two shows this summer, as well.  Makes sense, if they don't sell many at Roll Call presales.

Just got this email from artistarena about the soundcheck  8) :

Dear My Morning Jacket Fan,

Thanks for purchasing a soundcheck party package for your upcoming My Morning Jacket event on December 7th, 2011!  As you know, this package gives you access to the band's private soundcheck party before the big show.  Please READ ON for full details!

Please arrive between 3:00pm-3:45pm at the venue's box office to check in.
Please do not arrive late, as late arrivals cannot be guaranteed entry to the soundcheck.
You will need your photo ID and Order Confirmation Email to pick up your VIP sticky pass.  From there, you will be instructed to stand by until the event begins.
Please make sure you are wearing your sticky and it is 100% visible for venue security.
The band will play between 3-4 songs depending on their production schedule.
Cameras are allowed without flashes. Video will not be allowed.
After the soundcheck, you will depart from the venue with your limited edition signed poster and will be granted reentry officially with your hard ticket to the show.

Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie
1001 Performance Place
Grand Prairie, TX 75050

Enjoy the show!

Regards,
Artist Arena

Does anyone know if the folks with soundcheck tickets have to exit the venue and then get back in line with all the other people waiting outside the venue.  I heard the doors open at 630; so I'm wondering if the soundcheck get first dibs to reenter.

in Kansas City (August 2010), the people they let in to view the soundcheck, emerged afterwards and were still some of the first people in line. it would be a logistical nightmare to oversee the allocating of "first dibs;" however, given the time between soundcheck and doors, you should be good to go! if you're worried, you could always have someone save your spot in line by giving them your autographed poster ;)

What time are they typically coming on these days?

Here's my copy:
www.archive.org/details/mmj2011-12-07 (http://www.archive.org/details/mmj2011-12-07)
Didn't see any other tapers out in the open. Thought it sounded amazing for as big a hall as it was.

It wouldn't be a Dallas show without some assholes in the audience. Specifically the three drunk talkers in the row in front of me for most of the show. One was nice enough to give me his business card and ask for a copy though. I'll be leaving it up to him to find this one online. However, if anyone would like to explain to him some pointers on concert/life etiquette......

Man oh man was that a blast! Glad to have my SteamEngine cherry popped ::)!!!
Soundcheck was awesome-Librarian>Slow Tune>Xmas Curtain!!! Plus Heartbreakin' Man!!! I enjoy the feeling of knowing old tunes as well as new ones, especially when the drunks only knew the first three words of a song! I video'd some songs. Will put up later when the wifey gets home with camera! Also got a USED BY JIM guitar pick. Spotted after show on the ground in front of rail, fingers crossed that noone would see it! Thank Jesus noone spotted it! I can tell it's used due to the wear and tear! Man it's so awesome to see this f'n band! Words don't do justice! Almost brings me to tears :'( :-*

Everyone who has ever visited this forum MUST download this show!  It is a requirement.  And don't worry, Masterplan DOES happen.  Bo is on fire.  Top notch taping, great bass.  The best setlist of 2011?  Pretty close, if not.

After dgold's ustream from Tulsa and just before next weeks MSG-stravaganza, I can't take much more awesomeness!

Oh, nice avatar, Brian.  You've been listening to the iTunes session interview, eh?

Holy SHIT. Just hearing Victory Dance, and I am getting BLOWN AWAY by this recording. The bass here is almost better than it was live in Tulsa. Fighting the urge to skip forward to Masterplan.

urge could not be resisted. had to. Bo mf'in Koster ladies and gentlemen!

MORE BO!!!

Urge overcome, and well worth it—Bo kills it on Masterplan!

And now Heartbreakin' Man, sweet JESUS, this is unbelievable!

That is definitely a Clinton Reno, designer of Roll Call gear

And Reno is the master of sneaking lyrics into the prints. I can't tell though

Melting into Steam Engine right now.  Good God I LOVE GUITAR FEEDBACK!!!

The set lists really do no justice to the shows now.  That is the most amazing Steam Engine I think I've ever heard.  I would rather them keep tweaking songs than changing set lists.  Lay Low coming off that outro was perfect.

Also, did anyone see the tin of candy that fell from Jim's cape? We got a couple, little chewy things with BP on them. And would someone please figure out what he puts in his water bottle??? If I ever get the chance to ask the band a question, that is what I will ask hehe ;D

The waters are usually a water/honey/somethingelsenottoocomplicated mixture to sooth and fill in little dry cracks in your throat when you've been singing a lot.

Wsphansam Thank you for taping the show and sharing the music can't wait to dl it tomorrow. Good to see another Panic fan rocking out the Jacket. Been wanting to hear a wild Steam Engine ever since that Dondante in Nashville.

off subject a little: theres a punk band from i think Phili called Ruiner. Their lead singer is a red head, but looks nothing like Louie at all. Still, whenever I listen to them I can't help but picture Louie singing for a hardcore punk band i can't take them seriously anymore because i just laugh.

have you seen/heard louie's stand up when he's talking about Ewan Mcgregor? thats some real love confession right there...

yeah, i remember that talk. I didn't, and still dont hear it though. At the very end of OTR from the Dallas show it seems as if he played a little Slow Slow Tune riff to hint that was coming next. I don't know though. It'd be awesome if Bo through that magical Key riff in one time for me.

A bit off thread topic, but wasn't that great?  The woman, Pamela Adlon (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0781899/), also played Louis's wife in the short-lived HBO sitcom, Lucky Louie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0460619/).  I have the series on DVD if you want to borrow it.

PS - she also does the voice of Bobby on King of the Hill!
