Yeah, I predicted it when Kim and Thurston announced their split. It's sad.
In my mind the last few records have been sparing matches between Kim and Thurston. So, I'm not really surprised, it's just sad. But then again, I think they are both awesome and intelligent people so I wish them well on enjoying the rest of their time here. I could see SY playing again with Mark or Jim playing bass. That last show seemed like a goodbye Kim show

I'm just glad I got to see them a few more times the last couples years: as "opener" for the Flaming Lips and on the steps of the Arch. The Arch show was fantastic. I mean come on, it's great rock while sitting on the steps of the Gateway Arch with a nice summer breeze, the coolest son any dad could ask for, and interesting people including a gaggle of people who were performers in the adult biz. Yes, I recognized a few.
