What are the best ones?
Thanks!!
We usually hit Ramsis on Bardstown > http://www.ramsiscafe.com/ (http://www.ramsiscafe.com/)
and Lynns Paradise (which is worth a visit just to see)>

aMD--what is that place we went the first time i came down for Forecastle w/Reenie and we met up with you at EarXtacy? Whatever restaurant we all went to was incredible---BIGGEST crab cakes I've ever seen...
That was Ramsi's. For breakfast I'd definitely do Wild Eggs. For lunch and dinner Ramsi's is a great spot. The Indian place next door, Kasmir, is great if you like Indian. The Come Back Inn is a whole in the wall Italian place that is great and has good prices. And of course I have to recommend BBC for food and brews by yours truly.
Ha, thanks friends. I'm doing a detox diet right now but I'm really looking forward to getting my grub on the last week of January. I'm going to the Ryan Adams show. Anyone else?
I'm low on flow or I'd be there. I'd be down to pregame with ya at BBC though.
Has anyone eaten at 610 Magnolia. I know Edward Lee was nominated for a James Beard prior to Top Chef where he is killing it. Anyways seems generously priced for the cuisine he's doing.

Not to mention he's pretty funny on Top Chef. I haven't eaten there, but I hope to the next time I'm in Louisville.
We usually hit Lynn's, too. They definitely have a quirky atmosphere, but the food is good as well. I can't stop there with out getting a Bleu Grass Burger—An 8-ounce Kentucky grass-fed beef burger dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and house made
Bleu Pimiento Cheese made with Kenny's white cheddar and gorgonzola cheese
I used to live next door to 610 Magnolia. Its really fancy and the chef is a dick. Thats all I know though.
I actually would NOT recommend Lynn's. The food is mediocre, but the inside is "whacky". It's always overly crowded, too. Wild Eggs for breakfast is way better.
Ramsi's is awesome. Dragon King's Daughter is my new favorite asian food. And El Mundo is THE BEST mexican-ish food around.

I haven't eaten there yet but I want to. I'm definitely rooting for him on Top Chef. There are a ton of great places to eat in this town.
Homemade Pie and Ice Cream Kitchen. Seriously, they do not fuck around with pie. Their Chess Pie is worth a 6 hour drive.
yeah you're right there. peanut butter pie there is like nothing else. Dragon King's Daughter for dinner --> a short walk to Pie and Ice Cream Kitchen = a great night of eating.
I miss having my brother live there :'(

Cool, I'll let you know.
We are staying at the 21c hotel. Pretty excited about that. Just for one night, but we are hoping to get in a breakfast, lunch, dinner, breakfast and lunch.
610 Magnolia sounds like something the wife and I would love. The Ice Cream Kitchen sounds yummy, the idea of bleu pimento cheese on a burger sounds amazing. Ramsi's sounds like another must...
I'm thinking
Day 1
Breakfast - Wild Eggs
Lunch - Ramsis
Dinner - 610 Magnolia
Day 2
Brunch - El Mundo
Lunch - Ice Cream Kitchen
Then hit the road.
I can't wait. Thanks again, you guys rule!
P.S. How about some late night diner type places for after the show? I've only had nuts and berries and raw vegetables for the last 3 weeks so my eyes are probably bigger than my stomach but I want to be prepared.
Cafe 360 is the best late night diner spot. They sell good food, beer, and hookah tobacco 24/7. In the Highlands on Bardstown Rd.
21C is awesome, you all have an awesome trip planned!
Ramsis is good stuff.
i think this thread has inspired me to take my lady to Ramsi's on her birthday in a couple weeks. its the bomb.
