These two are opening for Mumford & Sons on March 6th at the Ryman but I'm not familiar with them. Anyone heard of them and can give insight into their music?
I saw Abigail Washburn open or Jayhawks last week. She plays banjo with a partner named Kai something. He plays accoustic guitar and some keyboards. It is sweet and simple Americana. She has a girl next door attitude, and is quite friendly. She is married to Bela Fleck, the most renowned banjo player in the world. He plays jazz with the banjo. I took some up close pics of him in 1990 at a festival in Yosemite. I met Abigail after her show and gave her some copies.
