Title: Ultrasuede Studios - Tennessee Fire Album
Post by: Im The Dude on Feb 17, 2012, 12:06 AM
Has anyone ever gone to this studio? Any info on the recording session itself? We almost went to Cincinnati, Ohio this summer and we were going to make a special trip to this studio to see where part of TTF was recorded. But it didn't plan out.

Anyways, this is the studio where: The Bear, Heartbreakin' Man, Evelyn Is Not Real, and I Think I'm Going To Hell were recorded. I looked on their web site http://www.ultrastudio.com/ (http://www.ultrastudio.com/) and their is a lot of pictures of the place and a list of artist that recorded there. The strangest thing...there is no mention of My Morning Jacket anywhere on the site!

So if anyone is interested in seeing the studio where the first MMJ record was recorded, then make a trip out there, I know I will someday.

This is really cool and I had no idea.  Ultrasuede is run and owned by John Curley - the bass player for the Afghan Whigs.  Yet another connection and yet another reason I am positive that the Whigs will be at Forecastle.

That would be interesting to see.

I would love to see the inside of this studio to see where The Bear was recorded. I think that'd be amazing.
