so glad to have the full Red Rocks 1 show
You can pre-order the Port Chester shows here (http://www.livedownloads.com/live-music/3,419/My-Morning-Jacket-mp3-flac-downloads.html), as well as the Red Rocks shows from August 2012.
Any idea if we can get the two songs they left off on night 1 RR?
Available in high quality also. Nice. Thanks AGAIN for listening you guys!
Great Holiday surprise.
For the record, I definitely approve of the move to live downloads. It appears to be a much better experience.
I just want to mention that I had difficulty downloading the red rocks files at first. About a month ago, I went back and tried again. They worked perfectly. Glad to see the kinks have been worked out and glad to see that we get options about the quality of files we want.
do those of us that were at both Red Rocks shows get to download these new, improved shows over again for free?

not sure yet...i'm hoping to hear some feedback about that here at some point. the original bootlegs had moderate to severe transition/clipping issues in some spots. the overall sound was good, but compared to the recent live series from Wilco, these shows just seemed to be thrown together way too quickly or something
BUT i'd be perfectly happy just getting the missing tracks from 8/3 if nothing else.
The track listings for the downloads match the setlists. Looking into it...
Seems to be the intact show!
Yac. It is.
I was impatient to deal with customer service and potentially get a new download for free since I bought the originals, so I just bought it again  I'm not sure there's a super significant change in sound quality (unless you buy the FLAC or the super duper FLAC or whatever it is), but there is a SIGNIFICANT change in the tracking and splitting of tracks, which is a must for me for a live album. I at first tried buying just First Light and Masterplan, but I didn't like how they were transitioning into the tracks before and after them, so I bought the whole thing, and it sounds GREAT.
But I am sort of a freak for listening to live albums seamlessly without gaps. Just buying the two songs may work for some people.
So happy to see them working with Livedownloads now. They have their shit together.
24 bit FLAC-HD? Are you kidding me?
They do listen to us! Thanks MMJ!
I really hope this new site opens the door for the release of older shows (like Columbus from this year...that tape NEEDS to be heard by everybody. Still can't get over how good that show was.)
Has anyone tried to put in their bar code from the ticket last night to see if it works for pre-ordering the show?
I tried the two long numbers that I see on the ticket and neither of them seemed to work. Hopefully they will work later.
Night 1 is up for download!
yep. listening now...sounds fantastic!

DAAAAAMN! Not even 24 hours after the show and an official high-def recording is available?!
AMAZING WORK TEAM MMJ! Shit's gettin' real!
any tips for those whose barcodes worked? are you supposed to include the two zero's preceding the number or smthg else? tried both numbers on my ticket and neither work - and i have FanClub tix.
All lot of credit for these recordings goes to My Morning Jacket's "sixth man", Ryan Pickett. In fact, I believe there's a thread about him...

Downloaded Night #1  I'm diggin it. I don't think I need to tell you lucky bastards that are seeing these shows that you are witnessing something VERY special. I love the new ( new to me ) intros & outros, I can't stop listening to the 1st 3 minutes of Mahgeetah. GIVE ME MORE OF THAT !!!!
Thanks MR. Pickett for getting these up so quick & ripped to perfection.

having this issue too. wampers.
night 2 sounds even better. i wonder if it was mixed a little different...a minor quibble, but i noticed a lot of audience "chatter" on night 1 that was almost distracting in some parts. yes i am being completely anal.
Downloading the first two shows now. Can't wait for night 3 to be posted. Awesome!
just downloaded night 2... can't wait to play it today will be massive.

Yea having the same problem for the free dpwnload from the numbers on the tickets as well. Anyone get theirs this way?
im assuming its only Roll Call tix that dont work b/c mine dont either...seems fitting since doors were supposed to open at 6pm each night but Cap Theatre staff works on a half hour time difference in EST
Night three is up. Downloading now!!
for some reason it's saying my code has already been redeemed for night 3. if someone wants me to send them a picture of my ticket to prove i went and send me the files?
incredible shows...incredible recordings...thanks to all involved for putting this together so quickly. night 2 and 3 in particular are making me realize the golden opportunity missed at Red Rocks for Trombone Shorty and gang to play on more than just a couple songs....
any word that NYE will be on livedownloads as well?
my dl worked for nights 1 and 2 but code is not being recognized for night 3.
hopefully this gets fixed soon.
Any word yet on an official bootleg of the New Year's Eve show? Had such a great time - it would be nice to re-live it

No official plans to release NYE soundboard at this time. I met two guys with a taping rig and asked that they post to the forum when their taping becomes available, so stay tuned...
I'll be honest. I'm not quite sure I understand the theory behind not having every show available for download from now on, along with slowly adding some famed past shows. If you have a great tool available to you and your fans why not take advantage of it (a la phish)
downloading night 1 now. used the number under the bar code. seems to be working.
CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR TYRONE -> TWILIGHT AGAIN.

To be honest, the completist in me is quite glad that it seems like for now they are only doing select shows, as otherwise I would be spending wayyy too much money on MMJ soundboards.
I understand particularly when so many other bands release every show, that many want to re-live the concert they were at or buy a show that has a very tasty setlist. But for me, there's something about it only being every few months that makes it seem like those shows are events, that there is excitement when those shows and the live SBD comes around.
As far as the economics, I have no idea how much livedownloads charges per show vs. the demand of people buying each show, so I can't comment on how much financial sense it would make for them to release every single show.

I'm having the same issue
I didn't even bother with redeeming barcodes or downloading HD files, I just paid $12.95 for a FLAC download of each night -- and it was the BEST $40 I EVER SPENT! The FLACs sound AMAZING when blasted, and that's all I care about. I still find it unreal that these concerts barely happened a week ago and I can relive them all from my living room. THANK YOU!
I am also thankful for how prominent Bo is in these mixes. After years of being slightly buried in the mix (or maybe overpowered is more accurate), his keys and vocals are now just as defined as any other instrument in this fantastic-sounding mix. Love it!
I'm surprised no one's talking about it on here, but the NYE soundboard is fantastic!

I have noticed a few odd spots where they cranked the volume or dropped it in between songs which isn't really an issue, but it is sort of annoying to hear the crowd disappear all of a sudden rather than fade down nicely. So far it's nothing I haven't been able to fix pretty easily in Audacity
I hope they do at least one Jim solo date
Has anyone created any crazy fancy artwork for cd cases for the live downloads that they would like to share?? ( I know, who still burns cd's?)
The PC and NYE show downloads don't come with any. I'm pretty bad at creating stuff like that so any help would be much appreciated!
Just use the posters, searchingbig. At least that's what I would do since that's what pops up on my phone when I'm playing one of them.
I did the bare minimum and made the posters into squares, so they at least look nice on my iPod/iTunes:

You reckon we'll get a chance to get some of these AmericanaramA shows/songs? Maybe a best of at least? I would like to get some of these collaborations for sure.... Who can make this happen?
Can anyone suggest where I might go for a quality download of the CBGB show this past weekend? Their cover with Jakob Dylan of the Band's "Don't Do it" was incredible. Thanks.

It was stated, either to me or in a public forum such as this, that there would be monthly releases while waiting for the new album to drop. I've learned, however, that time is fluid when it comes to all things MMJ...

Thanks, MOWJO8185. I didn't see your post in this "sticky" thread. Remnants was only played live during the Evil Urges tour in '08 nine times, only four of those in the US. The only other time was the necessary inclusion of it during Evil Urges and Beyond at Terminal 5. The summary of live Remnants:
6/10/08 Ear-X-tacy, Louisville, KY
6/16/08 Kook Haus, Toronto, ON
6/17/08 Le Nationale, Montreal, QC
6/25/08 Leadmill, Sheffield, UK

8/15/08 Riverfront, Nashville, TN

10/2/08 Orpheum, Minnesota, MN
10/23/10 Evil Urges and Beyond, Terminal 5, NYC
The 2008 Nashville show they just released is fanfriggingtastic. Probably one of my favourites so far released. Jims vocals are like a warm plate of peanut butter cookies just out of the oven. Just got the Roll Call code good a free download. Is there any consensus on the most essential of these official bootlegs? I have the 2012 Red Rocks shows and they are awesome. Saw some discussion above about the Nashville 2008 and 12-31-2012 Boston shows being good too.
I'm holding onto my free download for a Waterfall tour show - hopefully Red Rocks. Anyone know if / when these shows might start showing up?
At the risk of identifying myself as an obsessive freak, I fairly frequently (at least once a day) go onto MMJ's page on the LiveDownloads site to see if anything new has been added. Well, today, there aren't any new shows, but previously, there had been a section titled "Current Shows" that held OBH2 and Red Rocks, and then all other shows were listed under "Archives". But today, all shows are now under Archives. Now, this could be just general maintenance the LiveDownloads crew does every now and again to update their classifications, but it COULD mean that something is being updated in the "Current Shows" section! Crossing my fingers for Beacon!
Nice! We're due some new soundboards!

it does sort of seem like they've forgotten about this which is a huge bummer. the sudden influx of old shows over the last few months was awesome.
3 Jim solo acoustic shows released! So happy about it. I could listen to Jim and his guitar all day.

Hey Does anybody happen to have In its infancy the waterfall part 2 after how could I know and before I never could get enough of one big holiday 6, 4/4/24
Yeah, I noticed straight away that part of In Its Infancy was missing from nugs. Maybe an oversight that will be fixed, or maybe some kind of recording error/glitch that meant they had to cut it (but surely they would have mentioned it)
Hopefully it'll be fixed. Would love to hear the whole thing!

I used software to split the original files into individual tracks, and I didn't hear any part of In Its Infancy (The Waterfall) between Oxen (How Could I Know) and I Never Could Get Enough. There is a short (37 seconds) snippet of Waterfall after I Never Could Get Enough, before Grab A Body.
Also, not sure if anyone noticed yet, but for night three, on the download Love Love Love is 12+ minutes long, that's because it also has Lucky To Be Alive embedded into the track. I messaged nugs about Lucky To Be Alive earlier this morning.

Problem fixed. The second part of Waterfall is now showing as a separate track on Nugs.
Did anyone have any luck getting the newer downloads in actual HD? I bought a couple and I know the files are not big enough to be actual HD. I emailed them and never got a good response.
I'm very reluctant to purchase any more (and pay the HD price) to only get standard FLAC files.
I have all the older ones in HD and can tell some of these newer ones are not.
Thanks!
