Title: FORUM THOUGHTS ON LOVE
Post by: MamaKel on Dec 13, 2012, 12:17 AM
"Genuine love is rarely an emotional space where needs are instantly gratified. To know love we have to invest time and commitment...'dreaming that love will save us, solve all our problems or provide a steady state of bliss or security only keeps us stuck in wishful fantasy, undermining the real power of the love -- which is to transform us.' Many people want love to function like a drug, giving them an immediate and sustained high. They want to do nothing, just passively receive the good feeling."
― Bell Hooks

"There's no fear in a shallow heart
Because the shallow heart is faint and don't fall apart,
But feeling hearts that truly care
Are fragile to the flow of air."

"The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.
Lovers don't finally meet somewhere.
They're in each other all along."
― Rumi, The Illuminated Rumi

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY

"I want to see you.

Know your voice.

Recognize you when you
first come 'round the corner.

Sense your scent when I come
into a room you've just left.

Know the lift of your heel,
the glide of your foot.

Become familiar with the way
you purse your lips
then let them part,
just the slightest bit,
when I lean in to your space
and kiss you.

I want to know the joy
of how you whisper
"more"

Sweatboard...that was hilarious and twisted.  That still frame looks like Bill Clinton, Kelsey Grammar, and Joe Cocker had a baby...

Now that I think of it, maybe those three men, and their little baby, is what love is...

Touche, Sweatboard. Touche.

(Can you listen to this song without doing some kind of fist pumping motion to the sky? I know I can't...Also, it requires a lot of furrowed brow...)
