Title: Dear Blanca
Post by: EasyRyder on Mar 17, 2013, 05:43 AM
"...feels as if it will fall apart at any moment, late-period Tom Waits mixed with a jazz/punk/indie aesthetic that comes out on top like the last kid standing in an epic game of King of the Mountain, breathless yet triumphant." - Music That Matters

if you like Deer Tick or Neutral Milk Hotel you might dig this. Stream it:

not sure how to describe them, but I don't usually have a first listen catch me like this. definitely not a pick-me-up, but some great songwriting and an interesting mix of horns and gritty folk rock.

Hope ya'll check 'em out, album just came out this year

Nice rec duder   Some of it reminds me of Two Gallants as well and Dylan Dickerson has some Matt Vasquez in his voice too.

Glad y'all enjoy it....and good call, Ruckus - Dickerson is the lead guy in the band, I think he wrote most, if not all the songs on it!
