Here's what I got, sounds pretty good to me...
Librarian
Capo: 3rd fret
Am E
Walk across the courtyard
Am E
Towards the library
Am E
I can hear the insects buzzing
Dm
Beneath my feet
Am E
Ramble up the stairwell
Am E
Into the hall of books
Am E
Since we got the interweb
Dm
These hardly get used
Am E
Duck into the men's room
Am E
Combing through my hair
Am E
When god gave us mirrors
Dm
He had no idea
Am E
Lookin for a lesson
Am E
In the periodicals
Am E
There I sigh and listen
Dm
To the AM radio
Am E
Karen of the Carpenters
Am E
Singing in the rain
Am E
Another lovely victim
Dm
Of the mirrors either way
Am E
It's not like you're not trying
Am E
With a pencil in your hair
Am E
Tutored by the beauty
Dm
That you long for in there
Am E
Simple little bookworm
Am E
buried underneath
Am E
Is the sexiest librarian
Dm
Take off those glasses
G
And let down your hair
C
for me
(same chord progression for the rest of song)
So I watch you through the bookcase
Imagining a scene
You and I at dinner
Spending time then we sleep
What then would I say to you
Lyin there in bed
These words with a kiss
I would plant in your head
What is it inside our heads
That Makes us do the opposite
Makes us do the opposite
Of what's right for us
Cause everythin'd be great
And Everything'd be good
If everybody gave
Like everybody could
Sweetest little bookworm
Hidden underneath
Is the sexiest librarian
Take off those glasses
And let down your hair
For me
Take off those glasses
And let down your hair
For me
Simple little beauty
Heaven in your breath
Simplest of pleasures
The world at its best
Thanks for this. I'm going to have to sit down wih these tabs this weekend.
I think the line is:
with a pencil in your hair,
to defy the beauty the good lord put in there.
Could be wrong, but it seems more in context.
Nice work! The only thing I would add is that all "E" chords are actually Em and on the line about "the good lord put in there" it's Dm to G just like you have in the next section.
I can't seem to get the strumming down on this...any tips?
Take off those glasses
G
And let down your hair
C
for me
I think the actual lyrics are:
Take off those panties, and spread those legs for me.
Thanks for the tabs!
