Anyone going, I just moved to Maine. Haven't been on here in soooo long, but I went this theater last night to see Clutch and what a gorgeous freaking venue, worth the trip from where ever you are...

Hey CTdeadhead! Welcome back. I'm going to be movin' to Iowa this summer, but have one more trip to the State Theatre planned this Tuesday to see Silversun Pickups. Give me a shout if you go. I'll be on my own. Takin' the next day off and grabbed a BnB down the street. It is a great venue and I'm bummed I can't make the Jim show there, but its on my last day of work in the old job and I've got Solid Sound Fest the next three days after.
NH to Iowa, thats gonna be some culture shock....Ill give a comlplete review of the state show, I may the only board member going? Best venue I've seen in years, OMG, my new favorite venue hands down!!

I'll be there! I saw MMJ in this venue back in 2010 for the grand re-opening. They did not disappoint, and I suspect Jim will be just as good. Looking forward to it.

Also, a former student, who I ran into at the Silversun Pickups show at State Theatre, will be there. He was so psyched to buy his ole high school assistant principal a beer or three! Actually, four.

I'm pretty sure those last two are confirmed, at least #8 is, and #7 is my ride to Solid Sound! :cheesy:
I think you've got a ride to Solid Sound, with or without #7!
Still, I would prefer to have #7 join the party! This will be my last east coast live music event for the foreseeable future...
nice john. will be an honor spending some time with ya at your east coast finale.
keep me in the loop if you guys decide to meet up somewhere pre-show.

I've got your cell, Tom. There's a joint just left of State Theatre where I usually grab a burger and a beer before shows. Maybe the locals have better ideas. Looking forward to it!
There are plenty of places right in the vicinity of the State to hang out at. Let me know if any information is needed.

I'd say we need to pick a place if we're all gonna meetup before the show. I know there was a cool place across the street, where I met members of Silversun Pickups after the show, but I don't know if they served food (the bar, not SSPU ).
I would recommend Nosh, which is a couple blocks down the street, same side as the State. But it being a Thursday, the place will probably be packed. It's not that big either, but the food is tremendous and they have an every changing beer selection.
Well, damn. They've moved Jim's show from the State Theatre to Port City Music Hall (http://portcitymusichall.com/event/jim-james). I'm wondering if ticket sales led to this change... :undecided:
It only holds 550 and tickets are still on sale, so looks like an intimate affair. I guess that'll be alright. Any new ideas, based on this being further down Congress St. a bit?
#7 on the list flying by to confirm! nuggets, i think i met you & monkeyboy the last night at T5. was m-boy in a cast? i was on crutches.
....and now there's an opening act?
alpenglow?

It was probably jahmazed, Ms. Yvon. He's always with monkeyboy.
Pre-show at Nosh or Taco Escobarr? pjfan04101 likely to be at Nosh. I don't care. How about Nosh for pre-show, TE for post-show nightcap? Sounds good to me. Hope to see you there!

Haha yup that was us, I think Yvon lost a crutch!
See you all on Thursday! Fresh cookies and Heady Toppers from Vermont to get things going. Looking forward to an intimate show with real fans.
CTdeadhead, where are you in Maine? Lets hookup for some festies up north!
Ms. Yvon, that was Jahmazed and I at T5. We also saw you in Newport last year for New Multitudes and many other locations (including Radio City).
I am really, really bummed about missing Solid Sound, it is the best festival in the lower 48. I wish I could afford a mexico trip...
so.....nosh?
gonna be in town early to do some job hunting (i'm thinking about relocating to portland)
give me a buzz if anything changes, john
Have fun tomorrow night!
Wish I was there.
Tickets available. Venue holds 550. Flights are pricey, though. I'm expecting the standard show but willing to be wrong.
What a great show, great peeps, a great time! Here's Ms y getting psyched about upcoming Portland shows:
I was waiting for some news, a review, something from you guys.
Really good show, better than expected. The start was too quiet but ramped up quickly, you could hear a pin drop. Played all songs from the album plus MOF, faces melted so hard. Very trippy jamming throughout with a killer drum solo. Lots of band energy, familiar Forum faces, and a packed house (good call moving it). Great beers with an ultra-easy access bar, thanks Oxbow! Free parking in front with a quick hot-box and pregame noshings at Nosh. All in all a very good night, Jim can handle any size room for sure!
well that was fun. standard setlist, but the performance was far from standard. jim seemed to be in rare form. all freaky eyed and smiling. so much fun watching him really connect with the crowd in a small place like that.
great to see john again and so much fun to meet crispy and ms. yvon. meet a few others, but my elderly brain can't remember their board names. regardless, awesome time with some awesome people and really enjoyed meeting and hanging with all of you.
took some crappy shots

Jim and AmericanaramA setlist threads are updated. Sorry, I was out of town at Solid Sound, then home with a killer cold...
Same exact setlist for Portland, ME and Northampton, MA.
