Is anybody in for this show other than me?
I'm in with a group of 4....hoping for a repeat from last year but that will be hard to top! Looking forward to seeing Wilco too for the 1st time
Gerry! It'd be good to see ya again, bud. Same group as last time?
Has Sticky said he's going? How is the old troublemaker?
Robb my man!!! Yeah, pretty much the same crew as last year, sisters are complete MMJ fanatics now....bringing a newb for her first show.....where your seats?

Row A, seat 15 if I'm remembering right. I know I pulled first row somewhere in the middle, you?
And Yac, Sticky has at least expressed interest in going to this show, so we shall see.

Very nice!! I got 2 seats in the Orchaestra Pit and am kicking myself in the ass for not getting more....my friend is recovering from surgery so I got her seats in Row Q, center...wasn't sure how the seating goes in the Pit, says its GA, but I think there's seats there? Saw Dylan was selling seats in there for $200 with early entry but I got lucky and paid half that with the pre-sale (but no early entry)
So is it really just maynard and me going to this show?
I bet Devil will be there.

last i knew she wasn't coming. =/
I'll be at this show with 5 others - 2 of which are also certified card-holding roll callers. Been away from these here forums for a bit. Sitting on the lawn.
:drum:
Does anybody know what the tailgating scene is at this venue? Are there bars nearby?
Just found out I have to be in Detroit for the weekend. Bought a cheap seat on the side (L2 Row C) on Stubhub just now! Huzzah! I'm going to the Irvine, CA show too....but now I get to see one with Richard Thompson, which is cool. See you guys there.

Venue is very tailgate friendly, last I knew at least. Not sure of the bar scene, but parking lot beers shouldn't be an issue, as long as you avoid glass.
Well, it looks like we'll be getting roughly a 12 song, 75 minute set, which I guess will have to do...better than no MMJ at all but would have been tough to top last summer anyways......getting to see 2 of my favourites within a couple of days (an evening with PJ to follow on Tuesday) so starting to get geared for this...Robb, I'll see you there, look for my fat ass up front
Sadly I'll be missing this, my local, show....
See you in Cancun!
Can't believe I'm the first one here, post show!

Great, great, loud, noisy sets from both bands. That last song in Wilco's set was worth the price of admission. Both bands, plus RT...Carl on sax, Jeff Tweedy and Jim singing together. I felt like I had taken a hit of LSD. It was glorious.
Not bad for a day off on a work trip...back home to LA in a few days...just in time for the Irvine show.
Sounds like an awesome night! That Wilco setlist leaves me almost speechless. Hard to come up with two early-era Wilco tunes I enjoy better than "Too Far Apart" and "Forget The Flowers" -- awesome one-two punch! And that run from "Via Chicago" to TNK -- hooooo mama!!! Thanks for reporting!
last two shows in detroit have been over the top on EU/circuital songs. they still put on one helluva performance, but IWSYS is what made the set for me.
wilco was great, especially tomorrow never knows.
dylan was better than when i saw him 10 years ago.

IWSYS is always a huge treat! Always. Glad they have that to you, brother!
So, Robb, how is old Sticky? I hear you ran into him.

He's probably a couple years older than me, so somewhere in the 27-28 range, I'd imagine.

I can't read sometimes. He's a good dude. I was surprised that he was able to pick me out of the crowd when I was just kind of wandering around, but good guy nonetheless.

So you are saying that he didn't say anything about a female loved one's vagina to you.

Are you insinuating that Stick's any less of a good guy talking about the vag? Channeling my inner Sticky here...
:bath:
Most of the time, online, and always offline, Sticky was good people. But, once in a while, online, he was a real ass. Its too bad he "stood his ground" re: being an ass, as I miss his solid contribution to this place. The irony is, most of the people most offended by his shit are gone now, too. :undecided:

No. I just never enjoyed him telling me or other females in here that we had a "busted, worn-out vag". Other than that most times I found him funny except when he wasn't.

yo it's sticky. glad to see I've burned myself into your souls. never thought I'd see the jacket again, but they suckered me into it with dylan and wilco.
last night was hot wet fun. robert thomspon was laying down some really juicy licks all night. enjoyed his set a lot.
jackets set was solid but as robb said I will sing you songs was the major highlight. pretty standard michigan set. but good, I had fun.
wilco stole the show tho. that tomorrow never knows was legendary and intense.
it is indeed true I ran into robb as I was headed to the bathroom. I threw drugs at him and peaced. pretty sure it freaked him out more than anything. muahahah.
lots of great people there, all the old dylan vets are bad ass. enjoy your tour. you dumb fucking skanks. sticky out.
Hey Sticky. Keeping it mild today. Glad you enjoyed your show.

Robb, good to see you again sir! Man, it was like being in a sweatshop at DTE last night but MMJ was solid as usual....IWSYS was the highlight for me as well, but damn, looking at that setlist in Toronto tonight, really wish I had been there to see that one
1st time seeing Wilco and they didn't disappoint....didn't know what to expect but left impressed, the ending of their show and collaboration with MMJ on the Beatles' was my evening's pinnacle moment
And Bob is Bob, icing on the cake as far as I'm concerned because I went to see the other 2 bands....
Peace out people, off to see Pearl Jam...man its a good life!!
