So this has been my newest favorite hometown band (providence, ri). The silks are a down-home bluesy trio who look and sound like they were taken right out of the movie Dazed and Confused. I mean the lead singer Tyler James has more flower patterned silk button-ups then anyone I ve ever seen.
They are fun as hell live. Have shared the stage with all the local favs The low anthem, brown bird, joe fletcher and the wrong reasons. And finally they have their debut album 'last American band' coming in June. Really excited to see these guys grow. The album was produced in 3 days, done completely live and it was produced by Paul Westerberg! For Chrissakes

Tell me Mountain Man doesn't sound like it deserves to be on the Dazed and Confused soundtrack.
Paul Westerberg was so impressed with them he invited them to Minneaplous (how the f do you spell that city?) and they re-recorded the whole album live in March.
