Recommended if you like Deer Tick especially. It's hard driving, but not heavy. Got a slight surfy reverbed out vibe to it. Maybe even a little Deerhunter at times. Lots of deer. Only finding live stuff online, but here's the song I can't get out of my head (poppier than their other stuff)
Obits -- Back and Forth (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zkgi52ahPc#ws)
awesome awesome band. lead singer was drive like jehu and hot snakes. incredible bands.
never seen Obits live but saw Hot Snakes earlier this year, amazing show.

I KNEW THE VOICE SOUNDED FAMILIAR. I couldn't place it.
I also get a heavy Replacements vibe, especially on "Widow of My Dreams"
Obits - Widow of my Dreams (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsPZIlG8Sig#)
Which of course now that I find that video, I see the prior history.
Jehu and Hot Snakes were in heavy rotation in College and Post-Grad respectively.

Spun Out was on Bagel Radio (http://somafm.com/bagel/) last month, which is what sparked the interest. Then I picked up "I Blame You" and haven't stopped listening to it.
