This following thread with "Mr. White" is why I never said anything during the basketball season. I can't even disagree with the guy and he goes postal. I am really not here to rile anyone up and just disagreed with one of his posts b/c I dropped by to see if anything interesting was being said. Now he's trying to delete the thread to cover his tracks. Lame.

Those 5 starting freshmen at UK are still some of the best college players to ever start a Championship game.

No where close to being some of the best college players to start a Championship game.

What I meant to say (type) was "SOME of the best college FRESHMEN players to start a Championship game", but I fucked it up by being sleepy, frustrated, sad, and being told by my wife to come to bed. Anyway, nothing ever seems to be acceptable to you, Tracy 2112, when it comes to the thoughts and opinions of others in regard to sports teams, so...FUCK OFF...respectfully yours...
Edit: I forgot to emphasize the word SOME! That is a qualifying term meaning FUCKING SOME...SOME...SOME, DUMB FUCK!!!
Well I missed all the fun.
Not only do I agree with your original point, Tracy, but I don't think the UK freshmen are some of the best ever to start a CG. Talented, yes,a couple of great freshman college players, yes, just not some of the best ever to start a CG,IMO. I think for it to be ever they would have to be at least in the top ten, and they're not,IMO.

Anthony Davis from the 2012 team would be up there, but none of these guys. They were terrible during the regular season (lost to 11-18 South Carolina!).
Mr. White - Sorry but what do those rankings have to do with Kentucky's Freshman being some of the best ever to start in a CG? Am I missing something?

Yeah he could be, but to keep the all time list in perspective, MJ started a CG as a freshman. I'd say the list starts there.

No. I'm just trying to state my simple opinion about them being "one of the best"...freshmen classes to get this far...I'm really thinking of them as "a whole" as a group of 5 (and up to 7) freshmen to be in the game, controling most of the game(s) they were in, and getting to the finals in the way they did. They did break a couple of records getting there, to have been pretty well written off just prior the the SEC Tournament. I'm just repeating what some in the sports media have said, I just thought it and said it earlier. I am always super proud of all the teams I love. I always pick them over everybody else in the world. I'm kind of like a kid that way. But, I still think as "a whole", the 5 starting freshmen who started most, if not all of the last 6 or 7 games were right up there with the "Fab 5". That is all. I love my team(s). Sorry to be so defensive. We don't have much else around here, and I've been in a bad mood lately.
Ok, gotcha. No doubt as a collection of freshmen to start a CG, I can see where you're coming from. I just thought you meant each player in his own right is up there individually.

I totally agree that of both teams to ever start 5 freshmen in a Championship game, last night's UK team was one of the best
