I've been trying to get the Rockpalast show up on YouTube, but have faced some technical difficulties.  That would be a nice add.  I'll see what I can do...

In the meantime, here are the first two tracks from MMJ's gig at Benicassim Festival in Spain, July 19, 2008.  Evil Urges and Off The Record...

To get you all horny for MMJ, here is the DVD cover for their set at Rockpalast in Koln, Germany on July 2, 2008.  A small club, pro-shot, great video!  My video files were partially corrupted and the original torrent from which I got them are long gone.  Fortunately, our pal Jason over at The Steam Engine blog has downloads of this DVD in various parts and I'm editing them now.  I will then have to slice it up into multiple parts in order to upload to YouTube, so patience...

(click image to enlarge; cover image is not from this show; "bonus" is what I uploaded and posted above)

Here's a preview, a segment of Rockpalast that I managed to upload a while back.  A rare live REMNANTS!!!

I'm currently trying, for the second time in 24 hours, to upload the entire Rockpalast show to YouTube as one 90 minute video. Its over 5 GB now, a Windows media file created by stitching my good DVD files with fresh ones from Jason's site. I used Windows Movie Maker to create the wmv file from 5 video_TS files, cutting out some overlap during the interview at the end. My first upload attempt stalled/disappeared after 8 hours and I restarted it about an hour ago. Fingers crossed...

Speaking of (two)fingers, not sure what's up with Jason. I'll see if I can get in touch with him and let him know he's missed.

You're welcome, Mr. White.

Regarding my last posted show, I didn't realize it was from today's date three years ago until someone pointed it out. IWSYS is a favorite of someone close to the band, who has her birthday on June 21, so they closed with it for her. A favorite of mine, as well, particularly this performance, which I'd uploaded by itself some time ago.

That Koln Germany Rockplast was awesome.  Thanks.  Too bad Remnants hurts Jim's voice too much.  I wonder what part of the song causes the problem.  He could just ease off a bit, and it would still rock.

Its on the "I'm Not There" soundtrack. Its worth checking out the movie too as they (Calexico and Jim James) make a musical cameo. Jim is in full on Rolling Thunder Review face paint.
