Thanks for the heads up! Probably hit the Fonda show, but I'd really love a winter trip to SF, don't think that will happen, though.
Got Fonda tickets. Saw them with Marc Olsen 3 years ago, but I am actually looking more foreword to this show. Louris is much more entertaining, and Rainy Day Music is probably my favorite Jayhawks album.
rincon, you'll be pleased with this tour. We saw two nights in Minneapolis and St. Paul this summer and it was very good stuff. The setlists are heavily from Sound Of Lies, Rainy Day Music and Smile, the Olson-less era. They do some stuff from earlier, too, when Olson was still great, so its a crowd-pleasing show.
I'm not a fan of Olson post-Tomorrow The Green Grass so this lineup and these songs are exactly what I've hoped for for a long time. The vocal blend of Gary, Tim and Karen (and Kraig, too, now) is outstanding and there is plenty of good guitar happening, as well.
Its gonna be great and you'll enjoy it, I'm sure. We'll be trying to snag our spot right on the rail of those risers on the sides of the floor at the Fonda.
I am looking foreword to some Golden Smog. I think they are some of Louris' best songs.

Decent among of songs for only 6$ from their recent tour. Believe this is the first live full album option they've put out
Here's a great clip from a recent radio appearance

The Fonda show was great. They really looked like they were having fun. I like the Belly Up download also. They played Settled Down Like Rain. One of my faves. They alternated that with Real Light, I hear. I saw them one show prior, so that makes se as the rest of the shows seemed identical. Trapper Schoep was a pretty damn good opening band.
