Does anybody know when OBH 2015 will be available for online download? I feel like it didn't take that long for OBH 2014 to be released.
I just checked my email from last year and they sent the download codes on February 28. It should be anytime now.
I wouldn't be shocked if it came out with the single on Tuesday.
Thanks Santo! Right when I saw the setlists, I felt chills. I felt upset that I missed out on greatness. That's why I am so eager to figure out when I can download the jams!
Let's do this!

MMJ tweeted today - "shows are having the finishing touches done on them and will be available soon!"

Hope real soon! These shows will be really special! It's been a whole year since a current show was released. Love the older ones they've released too.
Now that single is released and pre sale is over, this is my latest headache. I am so ready for this!
Anyone else feel like there might be a 90% chance they will omit the songs from the new album on the live recordings? I'm ready for 6+ hours of new music either way!
I doubt they will release the new songs (maybe big d) before may 5th on any bootlegs so I'd say it's 100% chance that at least the non first single's wont be on the recordings. I'd say this week or next we will have them...
I believe that we will receive those three nights in their entirety. I believe...

that would surprise me but I wouldn't be complaining at all!
So I guess next week then???
Trying not to be negative here, but what is the f'n hold up? Why is it so many bands can have their shows (sounding absolutely perfect) to the fans for download literally hours after the show ends? This makes not sense. Muzak please!

I vaguely remember a similar conversation from last year. The guy who was pumping these out had a fairly detailed explanation. I can't seem to track the post down, but if I remember correctly, last year he said MMJ had one person getting these ready for download. Other bands had teams of people. I think he said Phish had a trailer dedicated to mastering the concerts on site.
MMJ needs to pay someone who can do faster work. This person must be a perfectionist.
Team MMJ likely has their full focus on the upcoming album release/tour.
Have any of you considered that since the new album hasn't been released yet, they might be waiting til then, so the new songs aren't heard by the masses before the rest of the album.

This^
So then release everything but the new stuff with an option to purchase the new stuff when the album is released. After night 3 of the cap, I was still buzzing with adrenaline at 9 am the next morning and had the live show (which I still listen to daily by the way)

they posted on facebook a week back that the shows are being mixed and will be released soon.
Aw, gang...everything arrives in its own due time...exactly when and as it should. Perhaps all anticipation is meant to teach us to exercise patience...maybe they haven't put it out to teach us self discipline :cheesy:
I suck at patience.

Your description made me think of the Self Hypnosis series! I wonder if that section made the jump to the new site...
I downloaded my pre-ordered copy straight to my brainframe at OBH. Neil Young's new Pono Player has a device where you can just listen straight into your head. It costs like $1500, but the sound is like 98 degrees, it's super warm. I wonder if Spontaneous Curation can even be considered Spontaneous now that it is done...maybe we should divide all things Jacket into Pre and Post Spontane. Not even use the whole word so the lingo is Jacket Forum specific. Ex: "Yo...did you catch that epic pre-spontane show at the Pantages, man? Yo, even Steve Prefontaine couldn't catch that pre-spontane..."
Just throwin' out some thoughts...

There's no link to it in the dashboard, but it does still exist:

You have to login to access it, though.
Waiting for this is getting old.
Mayyyyyybe it's taking so long because my suggestion of releasing the ENTIRETY of OBH was made a reality! As in, they are releasing the BOH, Dr. Dog, War on Drugs and Dawes sets as well!!!
Wishful thinking, but that would make this wait worth it.
I would kill for the Dr. Dog and Dawes sets... Ain't gonna ever happen though.
I am trying to get an ETA on the OBH downloads. I'll let you know if I get any actionable intelligence...

THIS WOULD BE SO AMAZING! I would gladly pay for the all sets... hell, I'll have to buy the MMJ sets anyways to get the lossless files.

i totally forgot about self hypnosis. that was fun while it lasted. 2 tracks.
any updates on this? can someone please lie to me and give me a reason why it's taking so long so I can psych myself out and remove it from my brain until it's actually delivered?

Not leaked, but some tracks from OBH 2015 are being played on SiriusXM Jam On...
Sweet! I used to listen to sirius on the regular, and jam on in particular. What songs are they playing?
I Can't Go For That (Hall and Oates cover) from night one.

Just wondering how everyone else feels about OBH 1 vs 2. Have only listened to 2 a few times but my initial reaction is that OBH 1 is much tighter and sounds cleaner. Wondering if it's my bias because I was at 1 but not 2. How does everyone else feel?
While I think I agree that OBH 1 sounded tighter, OBH 2 feels much fresher. I definitely prefer this set of tapes.
so much more variety on OBH2 with the covers and guesting... I'm not a big dead fan either so that didn't help much... OBH2 shows sound great even with jimmy j's voice cracking at certain points.

I might find this question easier if I was listening to the recordings without having attended, but I am unable to separate my memories from each listening. I was fortunate to be able to go to both OBH1 and OBH2, and I am brought back to the beach every time I listen. OBH1 was on repeat in my truck most of 2014, and I know my wife is happy that the OBH2 recordings are finally out  ...............but to try and actually answer your question, I think OBH2 wins for me. I liked the setlist better and loved all of the covers and collaborations with Amelia, Taylor, Conor, Ben, Adam, etc.
Finally got through all of them. What a blast! I'm dying to hear Happy, Rock and Roll, Fade into you and the Marley stuff with PWW which probably won't make it out on tour this year.
OBH2's setlists are much more fun, but W T F is with the whistling?? I haven't heard much about it so I'm assuming/hoping people who attended weren't bothered by it, but - Why would anyone do that through 3 shows??

Y'know, it was brought up on Facebook yesterday. I admit, I was there but never noticed it. I spent the entire OBH shows at the soundboard, which may have helped avoid the d'bag. I don't know what people are thinking sometime, and why no one shut him down...
hahaha so annoying. Go back and listen to OBH1 and it is there too.

I went to 1, not 2. 2 has 15 or so unheard covers. Plus the monster Run Thru and Dondonte. I'm glad I went to 1, much smaller crowd, but the sets at 2 are adventurous, fresh, and pretty elfin good.Have to admit Jim's voice is very hoarse, but with a band that incredible, who can really complain.

I went to both and during OBH2 thought the band sounded incredibly tight. Jim warbles on a few songs for sure, but the band in its entirety sounded much stronger to me than in previous years.

I tend to agree the band sounds better, but I am not sure if it is because I had the complimentary MP3 from last year, or the AFLAC download from this year that makes me think that. I missed a great show, but I was not a huge fan of the venue. (simply because who the hell goes to the Caribbean for $3K without a beach? MMJ fans, that's who!)

Ah...I meant live. I was pretty blown away by their sound, and those who know me know I won't hesitate to voice my disappointment. They were *that* much better (and I mean as in ever)...to my ears, anyway.
Man, these recordings are such a damn treasure!
The "Lowdown" on night two is the only time I have EVER heard these guys screw up. They all launch into different parts when Jim calls for the Carl solo. A charming mistake like that just shows they are human. And they make it out of the miscue flawlessly. What a band.

Charming is exactly the word, O. I had forgotten that part until I heard it again, and it is a secret treasure of a time machine that took me right to that moment...just proves that flaws are the good stuff...one of my favorites of the whole bunch
 I LOVE Jim's hoarseness! seriously it gives him a lot of soul and grit and he sings amazing considering his voice was shooting out . he gave us HIS ALL ...
After being there and listening through again, I have to say the covers were just phenomonal! Happy!!!??? are you kidding me! so good.....and not even the best of the weekend.....
Man, Jim was having a rough go in the dondante breakdown. haha
what an epic Fade Into You holy shit, love the guitar squall odyssey :cheesy:

So crazy. I love how they don't end it without doing the jam though. Makes it one of "those versions" to reference now.
I'm pretty disappointed the shrieking "Carllllllll I love youuuuuuu" woman is all over the recording. She makes her presence well know on the NYE Boston recording as well.
