For those of you that are coming in from out of town or aren't familiar with the venue...
The ampitheater backs up to anastasia state park. The state park has great campgrounds with electricity, water, and nice bathrooms with hot water showers. There is also beach access. Most importantly and to the point there is a back entrance to the ampitheater that is 5-10 min walk from most of the camp sites.
If there isn't an official sound check for those of us that camp we will def be hearing the boys warm up if there is a soundcheck then we have a place to refresh between that ending and the show starting.

Definitely going to the Orlando show.
We may make the drive up (Tampa), drop the kids off with the inlaws in Northern Jax, and hit this one too.
Never seen a show there but the amp looks cool...Does the trees in the park cut off the sea breeze? If not the band, and us, are gonna be sweating our balls off in the sauna created by the afternoon/early evening thunderstorm.

I've been to several shows there over the years, and for summer shows there's no question you'll be sweating balls. Last time Jacket played there we had some rain, and wind blow through and not only was the rain welcome but the wind blowing it sideways made for some cool effects with the smoke, and lights. That show was also at the end of April so it wasn't nearly as hot as it will be this time around.
The good thing is they'll be hitting the stage around dark so it won't be as bad as when the sun is still up. We'll be facing north looking at the stage so the sun will be shining in there all day,and until it sets your left side will be feeling the rays.
Beautiful little venue though with not a bad seat anywhere. Hopefully the turnout is better this time around. Last time it was maybe 1/2 filled. Great town with plenty of cool things to see and do downtown. If you stay in the beach area there plenty of good eats, and drink to be found. Both areas are no more than a couple of miles from the venue, with the beach area closer than that. The north end of the beach area is maybe a mile away if that.
I'm down there a lot as my daughter lives right across the street from the Amp, so if anyone has any questions about where to eat, stay, drink, etc just ask away.
I accidentally got 2 pit tix today on my phone thinking it was the fox. To my delight it was a sat night in st Augustine. And then I bought more for friends & family. I'll be at Knoxville- didn't get fox tix. May stubhub it.

Saturday night show in a great little old town, with plenty of great places to eat, and drink. Throw in it's right by the beach, in a sweet little venue, and anyone on the fence about going should just grab a ticket.

The last show there was great, as stated above. Venue has good sound. Rain and wind kicked up during Steam Engine right on cue. Preservation Hall Jazz a band opened and played with the band which was also awesome.
I have been tweeting at the band for the spontaneous curation series for this show and really pushing hard for my white whale -"just because I do". Would love some help on this one from anyone else attending the show. Looking forward to it!

We are going to the show and want to camp in Anastasia State Park, but all of the sites are full. Is anyone camping there who would like to split the cost of their site? There are four of us total, two couples. We will bring food, beer, laughs and good vibes.
Please email me if you already have a site booked and would not mind sharing it with some good folks. jason@showsigoto.com
Hey Friends,
Is anyone interested in a pre-show meet up. I know that there aren't tons of forum or Facebook folks heading to the show, but if anyone is interested, the Mrs. and I would be down for a few drinks before heading over to the venue. Or if anyone has any ideas, I'd be all ears.
Can't wait.
Gotta bump for a week, and a half away!
We need some more Roll Callers adding their names to the list here. It'll be hot but it's a Saturday night Jacket show in a great little town, a bike ride away from the Atlantic. Throw in some great eats, drinks, and a tiny Amphitheater, and this should be a must do for anyone close enough to drive to, IMO.
Place only holds maybe 4,000 people and last time it was maybe 1/3 - 1/2 full, and they still melted all our faces.
Hope to see more people signing this RC but if not, we'll make sure to represent.
Hey I'll be coming, bringing five people to their first Jacket show.
Haven't seen them since Chastain Park in Atlanta...2010? Listened to some tapings since and they sound like they've leveled up. The newbs don't know what they're walking into.
Wife just asked me if I'm getting excited about the show...

It won't be long now!
Looking forward to this show big time, and meeting a few Roll Callers I've yet to have the pleasure of meeting.
See you there, and hopefully the only things melting Saturday are our faces!
Can't wait for this! I did just check the weather and its showing 90% chance of thunderstorms, so be prepared!

Pretty much just another summer day in the neighborhood.
This is pretty common there, and thankfully they're usually short in duration. They'll arrive quickly, and leave just as fast. Always good to be prepared though, and good looking out davymac.

What's the general consensus on how early you need to get there to ensure you get a poster?
wow. really picked the wrong weekend to camp. the plan is to head up early Friday from S. FLA and have a nice sunset and beach day on Saturday, but that doesn't look like it's happening. hopefully, as mentioned, it will be a typical FLA storm that blows by, but the radar and weather reports paint a grim picture.
Saturday -
chance of rain 100%
Saturday Night -
chance of rain 90%
Anyone else camping at Anastasia?
Coming in Friday and camping both nights as well. Better bring your rain gear esp if yall have GA seats. Lucked out with weather at both NC shows. Although Raleigh was a little flat but Charlotte kicked Ass. Site 77 stop on by.
It looks like pretty much all the seats are covered except the 300 rows, so we should stay dry for the show. I'll be killing it in the pit
Jesse
I know they haven't been doing many covers so far this tour but if there was ever a perfect time for a Dead cover, Saturday being Jerry's Birthday would be it.

Has anyone seen or heard anything regarding the poster for this?
The Day has come
Just a heads up if anyone is in the area camping or got into town early. There's a pretty sweet farmers market type of thing going on this morning on the Amp grounds. Food, coffees, art work...bunch of cool stuff.
I just came back from a stroll over there. Box office is open but if anyone is picking up Roll Call tix those won't be sorted til after 1:00.

It's not the show poster but saw these hanging up around, and also at a table while walking around the farmers market.

What's separates the early entrance vs. 1st entrance?
I just have a roll call pass.
Enjoy yourself Eric, kinda jealous since our run is over.

You guys have the best excuse ever for your run being over, and I'm sure we'll all be rocking another show together before long!
Take care of Alyssa, and the future Jacket fan too!
This is such a great little amphitheater. Have fun everyone and report back.
A little on the short side because of an early curfew but WOW! They packed a whole lotta love into this set.
An At Dawn to open, then we got a PWW,Dondante,War Begun,Hopefully, Golden, and Dancefloors in the encore! Great night in a rockin little venue. Glad to see more people there than last time, and the joint was jumpin!
Here's the poster, and a GREAT one at that! Got a gator, Spanish Lady, and the old Downtown "Skyline" taboot. FANTASTIC job on this one by Matt Leunig

oh man! that is awesome!
Yeah it is. Up close it's even more so. The detail, and site specific is so very cool! It ties in just about everything this old town is about. The background is just about what you'd see looking out past the venue, and the old town on top of the Gator's head is so spot on it's amazing.
The Gators head is what it looks, and feels like driving over the Bridge Of Lions to get downtown. Just a GREAT poster, and already one of my favorites!

Some iPhone pics from one off the rail. What a show!!!
At Dawn, War Begun, Hopefully, mahgeetah, Dondante, Phone, Dancefloors, Golden, etc, etc!!!

Wow that is a setlist!
I'm with Eric, the show was a bit on the short side (that seems to happen a decent amount at their Florida shows), but they really brought it for each song. Their energy was definitely top notch. The crowd was soooooo much bigger this time than in 2009, and much much louder. It seemed like the band was really into the crowd's enthusiasm.
*A special shout out to Eric, who has been lovingly holding my Boston NYE poster for over two years now. He transported it down for me, and it is in pristine condition. He's a true gentlemen.

Why are the Florida shows shorter?

It really is Gina. The photo doesn't really do it justice. The colors are so bold, and vibrant it's just striking to see up close. Throw in all the ties to this old town, and it's really a thing of beauty. I've collected a few over the years, and this one is one of my favorites, no question.

Why are the Florida shows shorter?
I'm not sure that they are.
The last two Florida shows, not counting this one, had 23 songs (Orlando) and 24 songs (Boca) which was more than the shows being played before and after that time period (late fall early winter 2011).
This show had 19 songs (seems this tour has been right around 19-21) with some longer ones (Dondante, Phone, Tropics, Touch Pt.2, etc) being played. I'd imagine this outdoor amp had a curfew and that's why they just did a three encore.
Agree with Eric that they brought it!
venue at/near State Park w/ early curfew + opening band = shorter show
Of course, you could say they should have started earlier, but I don't think that's allowed either.
Great crowd though...I was very happy to hear the LOVE after the encore. Fun time. Miami will be fun tonight after a day off.
I put this in the poster thread but figured it should go here as well.
Just got this back from being framed. Basic black like all my others for now with a double matte. Blueish green outside with a deep orange inside. Funny thing is the outer matte color is called "Waterfall"!
Definitely one of my favorites, and this one is getting hung tonight.

The artist still has some for sale on his site. Plus he put out a foil variant of this but I'm not sure if he has any of those left.
