Title: Chadwick Stokes
Post by: MOWJO8185 on Apr 02, 2015, 11:12 AM
This is the guy from the bands Dispatch and State Radio. I understand that alone will cause many people to dismiss him as belonging to a "bro band", but his solo act has produced some truly fantastic Americana-influenced music. Lots of 60's psychedelia influences, and Paul Simon-inspired tunes as well. He just dropped a new album called "Horse Comanche", and it's truly beautiful.  It was produced by Sam Beam of Iron & Wine, and his influence is definitely all over the album as well.  The guy has one of my favorite voices in all of music (up there with our good buddy Jim).

Couple of my favorites:

sweet! thanks for sharing.  LOVE Dispatch and State Radio.  He's got a pretty good tiny desk concert on NPR right now too
