Come on Cleveland.... Tomorrow night is the night! Why no fresh roll call thread? I couldn't even find one in the search. In town for business and got asked to stay an extra night. Why no chatter here. Greatest rock & roll band playing the State Theater is something to celebrate. I thought "Cleveland rocked"!!!!
More importantly, where is the pre show meet up?
cleveland's attention is focused on a different "james" these days.
Seems like it. Very quiet on this board. I guess I will be the lone setlist poster.
Can't wait to see what the setlist is. Official kickoff of the tour!!
I'll be in the fourth row!! Having dinner and drinks at Crowell and Hubbard next door before the show tonight. So pumped.
I'll be there. In town for work as well and staring out my hotel window at 20ish 18 wheelers for the Taylor Swift show tonight. I think we chose the better show. See y'all tonight!
Super excited for tonight!!! Having some beers with the wife at Great Lakes Brewery pre show! First time seeing the full band since their run at Port Chester. Can't fucking wait.
Jealous
Excited for those of you going! Hope to hear reports on how the show was and congrats to Bo for playing in his hometown at State Theatre for the first time!

Two questions:
1. Were you at Athens and Knoxville?
2. If so, is the light show completely different?

Dondante nice! And another Knot Comes Loose, love it!

We are closing in one the 2:20 mark which seems to be about where they were at in Athens and Knoxville IIRC.
Will be very interesting to see how far they go.
Thanks for the update bhyman!!!!
I found through twitter that
A. The new light show is bananas.
B. Jim said "Go Cavs" before they played Victory Dance.
C. Some guy thinks The Waterfall is boring and called it a later era beatles album but without the fire and energy.
Dying to know what happened after Dondante :cheesy:

Encore:
Hillside song
Tropics
Compound fracture
Wordless chorus
Victory dance
Phone went west
Ah, Wordless found its way into another set just in the nick of time. :drum:

First set list! They did not play Dancefloors unfortunately. Freaking incredible show. I was at Athens and this show blew my doors off. Got 3 firsts's: Donadnate, Masterplan, and Hillside Song. PWW closer was amazing. My favorite show so far, and I've seen 10. Highlights: last 3 songs in encore.. Compound Fracture totally belongs in the encore, Hilllside is as beautiful as Bermuda Highway, maybe better.
I'm in a bit of a daze. Good night everyone. Love to all.
Wow, this is going to be a fun tour!
Sounds awesome, the Camden/MPP can't come soon enough. What is "Twilight Series"?
Such a great show. My requests were Masterplan, Hillside Song and Dancefloors. Looks like I almost got all 3.
Thanks for the updates! Nice to see Hillside Song......I'm guessing the show was around 2hrs 20?
CHIMMJFAN
that's a great looking set!
anyone see any tapers?

What is "Twilight Series"?
It was just "all about twilight", nothing more.
Few more observations before I head out to my grown up job...
I only started following these guys post-circuital. Don't ask why, it was a huge mistake in my life. That being said, my show count is 11 now.
- this was the first show I've seen with no Circuital. I love that song but it was a nice surprise for it to be left out for an evening. Same for OBH. They obviously made room for some deeper cuts.
- Although I saw them in Athens a few weeks ago, it is apparent to me that this was the official tour opener.
- Light show is sick. Production in Athens was pretty sparse.
- Jim seemed to be moving more freely. Still not the insane rocker he used to be, but we are all getting older.
- Crowd was a little lame. I danced the whole show, but folks around me looked a little bored. The Athens crowd was definitely more into the show.
- Dance floors would have been a sweet set closer. I guess the Dondante jam went a little long though. Fair trade IMO.
- You could have replaced Jim with a young Bob Dylan on Hillside Song and I would not have noticed the swap. It was really great.
- Except for the songs from the new album, very few repeats from the other show I caught this tour. Makes me excited for what's to come this tour. In already committed to 3 more shows.
schnikes....
From Masterplan on, wow.
WHOA!! Now that's a fucking setlist...
Hillside Song - damn!
Great setlist overall.
That is an unreal setlist!! Possibly one of the best in years!
I've been craving Twilight soooooooo bad ever since they SLAYED it at T5! But that is now almost FIVE YEARS AGO -- it's time to bring this monster back into regular rotation!!

That's what I'm saying. I guess they didn't play Dancefloors because it would be too much for any human to survive
This setlist is ridiculous. So many of my favorites. Im glad they switch it up every night but I would take this every time and twice on Sunday. Does anybody have any idea on how they choose from what people request before. I imagine them making a tally and playing the ones with the most requests but I doubt thats what they actually do.

I think they went too long on Dondante and had to scrap it. Dondante had to be close to 20 minutes. They switched guitars after and then Jim looked around and kind of motioned for everyone to walk off.
Now THAT is a set list!
I need updates like this for EVERY show please! This is going to be a great tour.
Okay, pardon my ignorance, but..."Twilight Series?" "All About Twilight?"
All I know is "It's About Twilight Now"
Hillside Song!!! Love it. Great looking set list.

Yes, you are correct, sorry. Using my phone for data entry is not fun. They played "It's About Twilight Now". The formal set list from the photo above said "Twilight Series", probably an inside joke.
Haha okay, I just didn't know if I was missing something. Looks like a solid show. Love Mahgeetah in the 2nd slot.
Was there an opener? If so, what time did the opener, and MMJ play?

The opener was Floating Action. They were set to start at 8 and I arrived at the venue late around 8:45 and they'd already finished. Seems like MMJ took the stage around 9:20-9:30.
Opener was Floating Action. They were ok, nothing special. Drummer did not ingratiate himself with the crowd by wearing a "Warriors" shirt. They went on just after 8:00 PM and played about 30-40 minutes. Jacket went on just after 9:00 and played to 11:30 or so. I didn't look at my watch.
Awesome thanks for letting me know.
Was Danny Boy by Sil Austin played for the stage intro?
Is that Dante playing with Floating Action now?! If so, FA has turned into quite the all-star band!
Damn, this is a sweet ass setlist!!!
Here's the poster:

My only complaint on the poster is it doesn't say Cleveland on it.
The reviewer of this show must not know anything about Jacket -
"A little more explicit enthusiasm from James would've gone a long way"

LOL! No shit! Dimly lit would have been the LAST description I would have used. That light show was effing incredible!!!
I feel like I should know who did the art for the Cleveland poster just by looking at it, as its style looks eerily familiar, but I cannot put my finger on it. Can anyone tell me who did it?
