1st row of seats for me walter. I get in the US on the day of the show so a seat may help with the jetlag. Its gonna be a big week...
Will be there in the pit with Mrs. Danimal! So excited for this gig.

2. Gardenparty (with 7 friends :) )
posted in the ticket section as well, but I am ISO 2-4 pit tix for tomorrow night, let me know if anyone happens to have any. Thanks.
I think tomorrow is going to be incredible!
Danimal and Fiance will be in attendence and rocking our faces off in the pit! Looking forward to this show - BIG TIME! Dr. Dog is kick butt. Don't sleep on Fruit Bats - they are a great band. I saw them in St. Louis in 2010 and I'm psyhced to get to see them again after they broke up for a bit. Fingers crossed they bring out the dudes from Dr. Dog and Fruit Bats to sing harmonies and do Like A River - it's probably the tune off the new album I'd like to hear most after not getting it at Red Rocks. Also put in requests for The Bear, Cobra, Knot Comes Loose and Where To Begin on the Roll Call board.

No negativity or hard feelings directed to gardenparty whatsoever, but to whoever swooped on this ticket and messaged him after he offered it to me (assume 3po1nt0), terrible form! Who does that??
Terrible Form.

That can't be right, because:

New Life is on there...
He posted in reply to the 14 songs?! jumping the gun post on the last page and didn't see walterfredo's post.
Thanks for posting the setlist photo. Great show, Carl was especially fun to watch last night but very same-y setlist to SB. Lay low was great... But do we need two Jim solo songs? Ehh
Dr Dog killed it.

Uhh.. Yes we do need two Jim Solo songs... It's a treat to ever hear any of Carl's stuff or the Basement Tapes stuff. I've been wanting a "New Life" by the whole band since it was released in 2013.
It Beats, Lay Low, and Tropics is a sweet little trifecta.
Think we could have used a Phone or a Dondante but other than that it was a fun show. Good crowd in the pit

I don't know just, to each their own but I wouldn't want that in a one off stand alone show. A couple of JJ or Carl tunes during a multi night run would sit much better with me.
New Life sounds great with the whole band...
But just not the same without Jim doing his dance in the middle! Haha
All official set lists are on the band's Instagram guys. Check it! It felt too short but was 2 hours last night.
Have to agree with cutterbutter re: the repeats from the SB show. I was not expecting that and really hoped for Dondante and some EVIL cuts. But since I requested and got Lay Low, I'm going to let it go. That was the mind blower that I needed!

Definitely had much higher hopes for the show. That said, always an incredible time seeing these guys and never disappointed! One more tomorrow for me, it's been a great couple weeks!
It was my 9th MMJ show, I'm being super picky don't get me wrong. I had 1st row for the show, I've never had amazing seats like that in my life. it was a joy to be on carl's side and watch the boys throw down a fantastic set. Sounds was fantastic and the light show was tip top.
I know it was not a big tour so maybe everyone didn't catch a show but the 2013 Jim James tour was a good one and I got my fill of the solo album there...
But i'm sorry its a jacket show and to get 17 songs from them and 2 JJ songs is a slight bummer when you see them pushing 30 songs at red rocks or what have you. Been spoiled by the 3 night wiltern run or the SB 2011 show...
Mostly just wanted to hear all the new songs but same 7 at both SB and LA. I love hillside song, thin line, get the point... and BIG DECISIONS. Maybe i missed something but i can't believe thats not a regular with it being the leading single and all?
Really, their my favorite band out there and favorite live band by MILES, its hard not to have certain expectations I guess.
All fair points cutter. At least to me anyway. No need to apologize for airing your feelings and honest opinions.
Here's hoping you get another multi night run out your way in 16 and you get all the songs you missed this time, with some killer seats for those too.
I got a question.
Does anybody have a setlist for Dr.Dog or Fruit Bats?
I can't IMAGINE two better opening bands!
SB was a mini Red Rocks setlist. I think every song was played at Red Rocks. LA had 15 out of 19 SB songs. Those are my only 3 shows, and they all were basically similar. I don't understand why they did not mix it up a bit more, since everyone I spoke to in LA was at SB. I thought the Jim solo songs kept them from Phone or Xmas Curtain, or hell, anything from the first 3 albums would have been nice. I got a bunch of cool shots.
