That's what's cool about what archive has done recently... they stream the shows as well. click on a show link and in the upper right portion of the page there is a player with all the tracks of the show, you can therefore listen before you commit to download. Try it out!
would it be possible to create similar threads for each year the band has been on tour. That would be titties fashion. Kinda like a one stop shop, and people can discuss the shows in the thread.

That would be cool. They would be rather short though as there's not alot on archive as of yet... I'm working on that though...

so your the man behind all these great boots? Awesome work, mister. I wonder if it would be benificial to have an entire forum devoted to bootlegs/trading area.

No, No, No... I don't have the equipment or the knowhow to tape a show properly. I've taped one show and it was from a FM source. I am just a fan of organization and don't want any shows to fall in the cracks (between the bed and the wall).
Sweatboard suggested we make a thread for this tour to keep things organized, so here it is.
i swear i saw a few mics setup in cleveland, so i hope that comes out.. good show!!
Thanks so much for this Kory, great job! :)
Good idea Kory...
Here's a helpful link as well, but I like your idea better.

Yea, I miss that view at the archive... since they've restructured, I can't ever remember what to click on the get that year breakdown...

Wow, they list a show from 2007. Time Traveling Tapers. Now that is cool! Could somebody tape something from 2009 to see what they have been up to? ;)
Please tell me somwhere there is the Chicago tape.?! I really would love a copy of that.
I am really thankful for all of you computer savy, smarties here on the forum. I think it's very cool that you help all the rest of us, like myself, get access to things like those tapes. I would never know how to do this myself.
You crazy jacket fans are genious! I know someone will almost always have an answer to whatever question I have.
Danka! :D
Many thanks for the sticky Riny!
any word on the boston avalon show surfacing at all? I thought i heard there were tapers there...that is a show that should not be lost in history.

I heard the taper played it back when he got home and it had a terrible "whizzing" sound in the background that ruined the whole thing. Just a rumor. Not sure if it's true or not.
I sure hope that Chicago and Indy turn up....that Chicago show rocked so many people's worlds. Jacket fans need to hear it. 8-)
hi all:
i taped the 12/30 show... came out great, IMHO. i use a very simple rig (minidisc and sony stereo mic) but sound is usually pretty sweet. i encoded the show today but haven't cut it up and FLACd it yet. i don't usually get around to getting stuff up on the archive (three small children, run a business, yadda yadda yadda), but am more than willing to share with someone here who can take the ball across the goal line and make it available to others.
i also usually post clips of the shows i see/record on my blog, http://www.bigmicroscope.com, and can make full shows available if desired (again, same deal.. if some good soul is willing to deal with archive.org uploading or dimeadozen seeding, i can provide the FLAC source via FTP).
i will have to check again when i cut this up, but i think i saw a couple of songs reversed in the setlist posted here. 'wordless chorus' came after 'off the record', i think..
if someone wants to work with me on this, just reply to this post, provide an email and i'll get in touch.

jbp,
First off, thanks tons for taping as well as offering to share with everyone. That being said, me and the archive are like best friends and I'd love to get it up there to share with others. I could even track the file for you if you like, I really enjoy it actually.
Let me know and thanks again for taping, hope you enjoyed the show!
Kory J (dmb1991@gmail.com)
The Salt Lake City show was taped - I spoke with the taper and he said he would post it. He had a nice spot DFC of balcony - should sound really good.
Where all the Boston recordings be at?
The 1/13 Ogden Theatre show is up:

I uploaded the Portland show last night...
check up top!
I just heard from Alex who taped the 1/11/07 Salt Lake City show. He's going to upload it the archive in both 16 and 24 bit, so look for it soon!!!
good looking out Steely!
Anybody know anything about Dallas Night #2? It was the only night all tour that they did Sweetheart. I am trying to make sure I have every song they did on the OKONOKOS tour and I think this is the only one missing. Looks like maybe George could provide at least that song.
Where did you get the Portland Show from Kory? I only saw one taper and he said the recording got chopped up into about 50 different tracks. Stoked it is up, I have been looking for it
Cheers

Thanks, good looking out Magnix!
I made this spreadsheet for two reasons. One, because I'm a dork. Two, because it helps me find songs from tours for making bootlegs and analyzing setlists, etc. Anyway, as always, since I went thru the effort I thought I would share. The actual copy is much easier to read so if anybody wants it, PM me and I will e-mail it to you.

By the way, if you download all three nights at the fillmore, you will have every song that was played on tour except for:
Just One Thing (Available at several shows)
Sweetheart (Dallas #2 Only - Unavailable)
Tonight I Want 2 Celebrate With U (Available at several shows)
Just One Thing was done in Chicago with the Youth Orchastra and this show has yet to turn up as well. I would love to have the Dallas show and the Chicago show if anyone knows of someone that might be holding on to it. Next time I see George around here I am going to ask him to send me at least Sweetheart from Dallas.

Looks good! I think this should be available on a website somehow! I can offer the space ... Maybe there's something to come up with to combine this with my setlists pages!?

Just press the "Email" button at the end of this post ...
I sure hope somebody taped the 1/5 Anaheim House of Blues show!! It would bring back awesome memories! Whoever gets their hands on it, and posts it, PLEASE send me a PM!! I'll keep checking this thread too, just in case it turns up. Thanks! :)
Update! Thanks Rainman!
