Title: Taping Policy??
Post by: theswede on Aug 29, 2008, 12:18 PM
Are the band ok with audio recording? And what about video recording? I just have a small digital kamera not any fancy gear, and have taped a couple of songs per gig. Now I´m thinkng of taping a whole one. Not for sale or anything, just for me(+the quality is not great so no one would buy it anyway=).

You think you get thrown out if the spot you??

I'm pretty sure audio is permitted as long as you don't have a setup that intrudes on other people or obstructs their view. As for video, I don't think that is allowed as I asked a couple years ago about video taping and was told no. And digital cameras I think are fine, but no professional type (detachable lenses) cameras.  8-)

Here's the response I got from management back in 2006:
"MMJ's policy is that you are welcome to tape for audio, but not video.  And, it must be done in a way that does not interfere with the enjoyment of the show by any other fans (i.e. – no visual blocking)."
