Anyone who's been to Austin City Limits, are there any bands who play smaller shows before the festival kicks off? I am in Austin for a conference that ends two days before ACL starts in September. I can't justify staying away from my family long enough for the festival even though my employer is flying me down, but I'd love to catch a show or two.
They usually have a couple of shows the night before the fest starts, and then late night shows after each night of the fest. It is Austin however......there is always live music to be found. The official ACL late night shows probably won't be on here, but this is a good source to check out once we get closer for concert listings. http://showlistaustin.com/
I saw Wilco at Stubbs right before ACL a few years ago. There will be music to be had.
