I was there so of course I missed the broadcast. Wondering if anyone captured the stream. How did it sound from the stream? It sure as hell sounded great at the venue. Great show!
it sounded excellent and should be posted around here soon....eagerly waiting.... :D 8-) :D

We'll will have it up by Monday Night.\
Only flowing at 96 kbps. Sounded ok though. If you crank it up it definitely had some distortion.
Better than nothing.

My Morning Jacket

September 5, 2008
WXPN-FM
Not being a big fan of My Morning Jacket (it's not that I don't like them, I'm
just not that familiar with their music), it would be an exercise in futility
for me to try to identify the setlist. I'll leave that to the more diehard among
us. Please post it when you know it and I'll update this description. I thought
it more important to simply capture and share this live event. Also, if one song
segued into another, I probably didn't identify if correctly or I may have split
some of the extended jams into too many tracks (especially towards the end of
the show). Sorry.
I have indicated most of the station IDs (where the DJ didn't impact on the
music). If the band was playing (even fading out) as the DJ spoke I didn't
create a separate track for the ID (such as at the beginning and end of disc 1).
Also, the ID in the middle of track 19 could be a bit problematic, but a simply
crossfade should make it seemless. I chose to give you everything and let you
decide for yourselves what to omit. Anyway, for those of you who find station
IDs to be annoying, simply omit those tracks when you burn this to disc and I
think you'll be quite satisfied.
I'm one of WXPN's harshest critics because they often terminate their concert
broadcasts early...not broadcasting the encores. But this time they did an
excellent job...staying with the show until the very end...and even the
expletives weren't bleeped out!
I don't know the typical length of My Morning Jacket concerts, but this one
seemed particular long. Enjoy!

Is there any chance that someone could put this show up on sendspace or something similar? I'm afraid to use any torrents at my school because so many kids have gotten busted, even if it is for a legal recording. Either that or could someone send me the show over AIM (crb0621)? Thanks to anyone who feels up for that!

I'm sure that within the week it will show up in non-torrent form.
Oh alright thanks. I'll just wait it out then.
That's what I'm doing. If it's still not available by the middle of the week I'll grab it off Dime, but that will take me quite a while. Once I have it, I can upload it. Maybe I can even learn how to upload to the Archive too.
I'm going to upload it to Archive this evening....
My torrent finished about 3 this morning so I only had a chance to check out a few tracks....sounds like an FM broadcast of the Soundboard + Audience mic located at or around the soundboard.

does it sounds great?? :)
Quote+ Audience mic located at or around the soundboard.
it was actually right in the middle of the stage pointed right at us
I'm such a novice. Someone kindly tell me how to access this and what to do with it once it's up. Lame, I know.
Its not up or archive.org yet, so when it gets up there sassbox I'll point you in the right direction.
Please let me know too. I've been walking hot coals for a good copy of this show.
tristis
BTW, some good tracks of the encores "War Begun". "Cobra", " Run Through" and "One big Holiday are here" :

it's uploading right now...should be up for everyone in the a.m.
:)
g'night
PS - I should also say that the more I listen to it, the less it sounds like a sbd....if it does have any bit of sbd, it is really minimal in the mix. Definite audience recording panned hard left and right....
Frickin' sweet!! Thanks a ton, I can't wait to get home from work tomorrow and relive that beauteous show.

Downloaded all of them and they all sound excellent. Thank you!
I am using firefox, just clicked on each song and saved them to my desktop, then re-encoded them into a high vbr mp3.

i'm having difficult with dondante- which is something i cannot just ignore. any suggestions why i can't download this?
EDIT:
nevermind- i downloaded it, I just cannot convert it to anything besides .flac all the rest worked
alright so here is the deal- just incase people are experiencing the same problem I was having.
I was using Safari and xACT on my Mac to encode/decode the .flac files downloaded from the link. Most of the songs worked fine but had problems with about 8 of them. I deleted the 8 .flac files and redownloaded them. all but one worked so I did the same thing (deleted the original and redownloaded) the files all decoded perfectly. just keep redownloading the files you are having problems with.
oh, if you are using a Mac and safari, you can hold down the option key and left click to download all the files.
hope this bit of info helps anyone having trouble
Thanks to Todd a labeled, great quality version is up at The Steam Engine.

A buddy sent these to me....I assume its tagged MP3's....haven't checked it yet, myself.
And sorry about the archive.org confusion....I'm re-uploading at the moment. Apparently my md5 checksum failed thus no derived files and the errors you all were having.
Apologies.
:D
Aaaah I've finally got it and it sounds quite good. Thanks to those involved in making it available. I really hope I can hear myself yell "You are ridiculously awesome!!!!" after maybe Phone Went West? I was pretty close to the mic facing the crowd.
a lot of my sister's and my quips of praise towards the band are heard on this recording most notably...i'm the first YESSSS and the loud clapping at the beginning bass line of war begun, and at the beginning of evil urges after someone rudely screams masterplan you hear me say "you're my paisan Jimmy boy!" in response to Jim's GRRRRRAZIE!
Dan Reid (the DJ who keeps chiming in) said that there were "a couple covers thrown in." Um, nope. Silly goose.
Does anyone have the original complete recording of the show? I'd love to re-cut it so the songs aren't split into 2 or 3 seperate tracks.
I don't want to sound rude by any means, I greatly appreciate all the work everyone does, I just would like to take a shot at it.
