According to Seth Kauffman of Floating Action, there will be Jim James tour dates coming soon. And Seth is the new fulltime bassist in the solo band! Hella legit news all 'round.

Yeah, I think that a Jim appearance somewhere at the NFF or afterparty is very likely and who knows what that will look like given that the rest of the band will be there with Ray. It will be hard to top last year but there's always surprises at Newport.
