If we purchased tickets through the Roll Call, can we also buy tickets through the Venue Presale using the password without exceeding the 4 ticket limit prescribed for today's sale?
In other words, was the 4 ticket limit only in effect for today's sales?

i don't know how they would enforce that so I think your assumption is correct. Today, tickets were through WU (boo) and tomorrow they will be through whoever the venue uses for tickets...AXS, TM, TicketFly, etc
Hey there everyone. Looks like a solid crew here. Yeah, I wasn't able to pull off what I had hoped and will try tomorrow as well. I will have OR Row 6 Seat 5 available. It is the wife and I's 15th anniversary and we were married in Asheville so need to get two seats together (obviously!).....
Anyway, we are also going to Chattanooga the night before and did pretty well there with Left Row K. Well, stoked to be on the forum and can't wait. I actually do work but did get to see them at Lockn. Epic!!
Best,
CF
Did anyone get an e-mail confirmation for their tickets? I had literally the last ticket and it said it would be at will call, but no confirmation on my account or via e-mail. Does anyone know if the presale tomorrow is online or at Thomas Wolfe? Customer service couldn't answer this for me.
Cheers.
Can't answer the question regarding presale tomorrow (and would love to know as well)
But, I can say I did receive an e-mail confirmation for my ticket. Also, I have confirmation in my roll call account under my order history.
Hope this helps!

You should have gotten one and it should also show up in your RC account (I just checked and mine does)
But, here is the link to the event page on TM where it shows the presale info for tomorrow. Go to that link tomorrow at 10am with your presale code and you should be ok.

So did anyone get AA or BB seats? I dont' think those options were even available, which makes me wonder where they went?
I'm concerned it now says Cellular Center. They better leave this in the Wolfe!

The Thomas Wolfe is in the same building as the Cellular Center, so I don't think this is a problem... the Cellular Center also seats around 12,000 and there is no way that MMJ would do that in my little town.
Cellular Center houses Thomas Wolfe. Wish it was in there bc then it'd be a big ole floor party instead of worrying about dancing in seats (which will certainly be done)

It's funny you say that... I actually kind of like having the seats as a buffer. There's definitely still room to do some dancing, but I don't end up having to get my drink spilled all over me by drunk chicks running into me like I do at a GA show...
The acoustics in the Cellular Center suck, TW is a way better venue and more in line with the whole Waterfall tour intimate, old school concert hall venues. At least a half dozen shows have been moved from TW into the big venue in the past six months or so.
All is good though, it was just Ticketbastard being sloppy with the seating charts. Locked and loaded, looking forward to this.
The arena there is called Exploreashevillearena.com, the entire complex is the Cellular Center.
I'm in! Grabbed a pair off venue presale today. Didn't do Roll Call since there is a chance I might not make it. Right now i'm in Mezz Center but trying to get in Orch center for better taping seats.

Looks like the seating capacity for Thomas Wolfe is showing just under 2,500 compared to ExploreAsheville which is about 7,200. Glad to hear it's in the smaller of the two venues, as it will make for a more intimate show. Energy should be awesome in there, stoked!
I took this during soundcheck of an Umphrey's show there a few years ago -

Bumpin' this thread for hype... it's the 27th. See y'all in a month!
Any locals care to give recommendations about things to do around town? It appears that I have talked my girlfriend into making the trip with me even though she doesn't have a ticket to the show (she saw them with me 5/12 and enjoyed herself but doesn't feel the need to see them again, so for her it's just a mini-vacation). I think we're doing an AirBnb in the Historic Montford neighborhood, so any recommendations based upon that would be appreciated. We plan on arriving late afternoon on Thursday and leaving late Friday night or early Saturday morning. We both work in the culinary industry so restaurant recs are especially appreciated.
Thanks, and can't wait to see all y'all in less than a month!
Asheville is a great town. Especially for foodies. You'll have tons of options downtown. Some Recs:
curate- Spanish tapas. One of the top places in town. Reservations are hard to come by but one person or a couple shouldn't have any problem squeezing in at the bar which also overlooks into the kitchen.
Wicked weed- great craft beer with lots of interesting styles. There are several other good breweries over in the south slope neighborhood
White duck taco- solid lunch place. I've only been to the one in the river arts district but there's one downtown as well
Biscuithead - the hangover killer. They do gravy flights with their biscuits l. Nuff said.
Bens tune up - house brewed saki and solid upscale bar food
Night bell (?)- not sure the exact name but it's the same people that own curate. Awesome cocktail list.
Thirsty monk- best beer bar in town.
There are lots of shops and such downtown. Great beer town. You'll hear a lot about tupelo honey. As service industry folks id think you'd find it overrated and not worth the wait. Go get biscuits.
Awesome!! Thanks for all the recs!
No problem. I'm not from Asheville but my wife and I make it a point to get there at least a couple times a year so there are always a few new places that are getting a bunch of hype. The ones I listed are the old faithfuls. Hopefully I didn't get too booze centric but usually all we do is eat and drink. One last rec is the French broad chocolate shop. Don't know how I forgot about that. The Mexican hot cocoa is amazing. Bens tuneup should have live music and you're bound to come across several other places that do as well. That should have covered everything from sunup to well past sundown for the food/drink/music agenda. The biltmore is a big attraction for a lot of tourists (I've honestly never been) and there's good hiking up and down the blue ridge parkway. The hike at craggie gardens is a fairly easy and ends in killer views. I'm sure there are others. The sierrra Nevada east coast facility is supposed to be impressive as well and isn't too far out of town. Jam out for me. October is just too packed with anniversaries and birthdays to squeeze this in.

This is my first post on this Forum and I must say I am extremely excited to see MMJ in such an intimate setting. This will be my 4th MMJ show and my wife's first MMJ show, although she did see Jim James solo with me at the Orange Peel :)
Asheville is an incredible city. One of my favorites. I'll second hoojack's recos and add the following:
Food: Curate one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, but yes, reservations hard to come by. Try to go mid-day maybe or sit at the bar. The Admiral is another top spot. Buxton Hall BBQ just opened and it's outstanding. Really like White Duck Taco too and the best ribs in NC are located at 12 Bones.
Drinks: Asheville is the beer capital of the Southeast. Wicked Weed by and far is the top brewery there; check out their regular spot and also their Funkatorium (two different locations) if you dig sour beers. Green Man and Burial other must-visits. Sierra Nevada is a wonder but as hoojack said, it's on the outskirts of Asheville by the airport. (Best to check out when leaving perhaps). There's a number of other great breweries in the city; and Tasty Beverage and Appalachian Vintner are two great bottle shops with solid taplists as well. For cocktails, I've always been partial to Sovereign Remedies. Terrific drinks and atmosphere.
Tons to do downtown, I always say you can fall flat into any restaurant/bar in downtown Asheville and have a terrific time. Cheers, and can't wait for the end of this month!!
Slight thread jack: do you know if the admiral still does their soul dance parties on saturdays? I stumbled into it a few years back and could've sworn I was in the dance scene from pulp fiction. Amazing and unexpected party. Their food ain't too shabby either.

I agree with many of the recommendations listed so far (especially Biscuit Head), but if you are staying in Montford I would strongly urge you to hit Nine Mile on Montford Avenue for either lunch or dinner. You should be able to walk there from where you are staying. Inexpensive, delicious, and much easier to get into than many of the places listed.
Not as big a fan of Wicked Weed as most people... very crowded and the lower bar tends to be a bro-fest. I will say they make very good beer, though. Probably worth stopping in. Want something a little more off the beaten track? After WW, I'd stop in at Bhramari one block over for a quick one, then walk a little farther to Burial Brewing, which is another block over. Burial is my fave in town, personally. If you still need another beer, I'd hit Catawba Brewing which is a stone's throw from Burial, then hit dinner next door at Buxton Hall Barbeque, which just made Bon Appetit's list of 10 best new restaurants in the country. Not as cheap as BBQ should be, but hellaciously good.

If you like Indian Food then I would recommend checking out Chai Pani. They do a version of Indian Street food and the prices are good. Try the Tandoori Fish wrap, it's delicious. If you go to the Thirsty Munk, make sure you go to the bottom floor to try some of the Belgian Beers they have

Please don't have Indian food and too much beer if you are sitting near Row N on Jim side. ;)
The South Slope Brewery district is also a great place. YOu have great breweries like, Burial, Hi-Wire, Greenman, Catawaba. Also Buxton Hall barbecue, and Vortex doughnuts which is really great. Some great brew tours around that area.

Incredible show. Floyd cover of the night was Wish You Were Here
no repeats from chatty it appears
Woah....
Not only an amazing setlist but i do believe that this is the very first time they went no repeats for consecutive shows in different cities.
Very cool.
Goddamn those are two great set lists, but I think I would have to favor this one.
Wish You Were Here through Run Thru is insane!!!! Plus I'll always hope to hear Tyrone every time always
This show was very similar to Red Rocks night 1 this year.. which was top 2 MMJ shows that i've personally attended.
The folks of Asheville really got a treat with this one.

Totally agree. Starting with Lowdown it just got better and better.
I'm in the pro Highly Suspicious camp but I'm ok with them cutting it for some extra Tyrone riffage.
And like jbpats said very similar to N1 of Red Rocks especially with them playing Picture, State, Masterplan and Steam in similar order.
Kinda crazy how heavy Masterplan has gotten from the album version. The ovation after Run Thru was insane for a small venue.A+ crowd. Lots of rocking not a ton of chatter around me on Jim side.
Also have to recognize that the band once again listens to their fans and played Golden for a family that suffered anunimaginable loss. Such big hearts and beautiful souls.
Another taping on Archive: https://archive.org/details/MMJ2016-10-27
Incredible show, great crowd too. I hadnt gotten "Picture of You" at any of my previous shows so that was probably the highlight me, although Touch Pt 1>pt 2>Cobra left me in awe and of course Wish You Were Here was a special moment. Kinda interesting that we only got one Waterfall song in this set too.
Anyway, for an "off year" the boys have sure played some crushing sets. Can't wait for the next chapter and the next your! In the mean time I'm counting down days til JJ day after Thanksgiving.
Currently reliving this wonderful show via the taping on youtube :cheesy:
