Title: Stangulation, Where To Begin - Acoustic Chorale ?!
Post by: danz on Dec 27, 2008, 03:19 AM
Hey guys.  Sorry if this has been posted about already, but I didn't find anything after searching.

So this version of stangulation is amazing:

I guess it's on the Acoustin Chorale DVD?  Anyone know where I can find it?  or at least just the high quality audio?

Then I proceded to find this:

Looks like the same session.  But also looks similar to Okonokos, at the Fillmore.  And is this the only version of this song?  was it ever on any album? Can someone enlighten me?

thanks

Where to Begin appears on the Elizabethtown Soundtrack.  I could probably upload the audio rip, if I can find it...

I hate to point you to Ebay but Acoustic Chorale was a limited release that is out of print.  It came out as a bonus pack with Okonokos.  The DVD rip has been posted here before but I couldn't find a live link for you.

thanks for the info.  would very much appreciate the MMJ tunes from the Elizabethtown soundtrack and a copy of the Acoustic Chorale if anyone's got one - there's nothing on ebay. :(

I've been trying to get a copy which I did. Get on a blank DVD (I lost moving) I'm glad I posted the videos on YouTube. More people are aware of acoustic chorale now.

Volume 1 has Where to Begin

Volume 2 has The Same in Any Language which is a song written by Cameron Crowe and someone else, but not Jim.  Sorry I can't remember the other person.

I'm glad the Steam Engine had the hook up for yas!

Cool.  Found Where to Begin, but if anyone has Same In Any Language they want to share...

And also looking for 'Going To Acapulco' from I'm Not There.  Might have to go buy the soundtracks of those movie just for those songs, but it seems hard to justify cause I didn't like either, haha.

She co-wrote it with Cameron Crowe.  I thought it was Nancy Wilson but couldn't remember for sure. Thanks.

Those soundtracks are both great.  You might look on itunes and see if you can order the single tracks, although a lot of times they won't let you do that for soundtracks.
