Where is everyone staying for this show? Contemplating hitting this show after Peach but a little leery that all available accommodations seem like quite a hike. Don't want to get stranded!!

I got the "Preferred" seats for this, I called the Box Office yesterday and they said it's reserved for the first 5 rows or so.

Plus Dr. and Mrs. Trousers.

We are staying at the HJ in Willianstown. A bit of a drive, but not too bad.

Too funny. We did the same thing. I had no idea what it was, but I figured what's 20 extra bucks. Glad I did.

As a Solid Sound veteran, I couldn't be more excited for MMJ at this venue. It's absolutely one of my favorite places to see a show. Get there early and have your mind blown by the modern art museum in the old factory before your mind is blown by our favorite band!

As for places to stay, we've always gotten by with camping. There are some great places nearby, just gotta poke around. Historic Valley campground is right in town, and beautiful Savoy is up the road by 25 minutes or so.

Camping at Historic Valley Campground on Windsor Lake in North Adams is excellent. Also close by is camping at Clarksburg State Forrest, next town north of North Adams and a short drive.
More camping options in the surrounding area, some within a half hour drive. Holiday Inn and The Porches inn bookend Mass MoCA but hurry to book there. Several good places to eat in North Adams close to MoCA too.

Bummer, looks like we missed out on the Porches. Looks like a nice place.

We will be coming from a brief stint in Woodstock NY. Hoping for a decent BnB for Aug 12th.

I also got preferred tickets. I called right after pre-sale started, as there was no online option yet. Since I was already calling, I also confirmed preferred was the area directly in front of the stage (as compared something close, but off to the side). I bought two just because. Why not? I might be able to offer the second to one of you.

Camping might be a good idea. I am kinda close, but not close enough where I feel comfortable driving alone (upwards of 2 hours). Maybe we can all do the same campground?

Does anyone know if there is a curfew? Last show of the summer for the boys, wouldn't hate a 3 hour plus set.

I had a blast a Forest Hills Saturday and thought they were unbelievable as always but you could tell they were rushed and the strict 10 curfew was on there minds.

Wilco has played past 11 as recently as the last Solid Sound fest, so I'm hopeful we could get a barnburner!

Thanks O! Hoping we get an epic show for the last show of the summer for the lads.

Just booked Historic Valley Campground for the night for 4 of us(two Jacket first timers)

Anyone else booked to stay there or stayed there in the past? Looks close to the venue and a decent spot.

3 HOUR SHOW! 3 HOUR SHOW! COME ON JACKET BOYS!

I know I hate the curfews...they seem to literally alter the songs themselves, certain intros aren't as long, certain solos get to the point quicker and then are done before the orgasm, etc upon etc and I cannot stand it anymore. I hate the curfews

Completely agree. You could tell the curfew in Queens was messing with them. Cut short the AEIOU solo and no Jam on Touch Me Part 2 that they have been doing recently were just the ones that stood out.

look for them to try out new concert ideas that may get away from the curfew thing. For example: Saltair, out in Magna outside of Salt Lake right on the shore of the Salt Lake, has no curfew. But in town, at the Complex where they switched venues to for some reason in 2015, the curfew is 10:00 so they were doing a 2 hour 7 minute show. It was a fantastic fucking show but you could sense they were cramped by the curfew and were feeling like they were only getting started, more than getting outta town. It was odd. I could definitely feel that from the recordings of this tour, where they get to the venue and realize the curfew they've ran themselves into. It would suck as a musician with a discography that vast and a set of great fans that big who follow them city to city. I hope they can find their groove again, even though these shows were powerful, they could've been a bit longer.

Big time. Even the Phone could've gone longer and Jim rushed off stage when it ended. Jumped right into OBH after Touch Me ended abruptly. Fantastic show otherwise!

the TM2 was cut due to tech issues (omnicord wasn't pre-set so beginning and end drastically cut)  curfew did have a bit of an impact on song placement and length

Still trying to decide if I'm gonna goto Mass MOCA or down to Long Island for my buddy's annual summer bash in Long Beach. If it's beach weather I'll most likely head to LI, if it's not I'll most likely stay here in Ma. and head to North Adams.

10:30?!?!?!  they have a 12am curfew and the districts will play for 45 minutes I'm sure.

So if Districts hit stage at 7:30 and play til 8:15, then maybe jacket 8:45?  If so, that's awfully short for no curfew and being tour closer.

Yeah I wouldn't assume the regular Mass MoCa people know the deal for the shows. They're museum workers. I would imagine Districts 7:30-8:15/30 MMJ 9-11:30 or something along those lines.

In previous years, the Solid Sound fest appeared to have a curfew of 11, but they played to 11:30 both nights this year, so I have a feeling the curfew was extended (the town seems to be really into having shows there.)

Doors are at 6.

See you all there! I'll be taping

Sorry for the late notice. I have an extra preferred ticket for tonight's show.  I'll be headed into the venue in about 30-45 minutes.  I can meet at/around the venue.  Face value of course.

Like everyone else I'm sure, a bit bummed the weather cut into the set length but kudos to the band and everyone for sticking it out and rocking what we eventually did get. Loved the opener and closer reprise. Very cool of them to bring The Districts out for the opener after having their show cut short  and I couldn't help but look around during GPAC and all I saw were huge smiles and people singing their asses off. Definitely a moment I won't forget.

Thankfully we had an amazing museum to check out for a few hours, while taking shelter from the rain and lightning. It definitely took some of the disappointment away for me and helped the time pass. Some really great exhibits in there.

Great to see so many familiar faces last night, and all of you are super tough. I dug the positive energy, and we're sticking it out attitude. Hell, I think we all would've stood out there for the show even in that downpour if it wasn't for the damn lightning putting the kabosh on everything. Here's to never hearing people cheer lightning strikes ever again!     (What was that anyway? Did they not get THAT was what was keeping the show from starting)

After all is said and done, looking back, I'll get a kick out of remembering the groans from those in the crowd who knew the lightning clock had to reset every time there was a strike. It was Sopranos like in "just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in again".  Definitely a memorable night even if not what we all hoped for.

Can't wait for Broomfield and seeing you all and many others again.  Thanks for being great people to hang with and ride that night out together and thanks to the band for not bailing. (Never for a second thought they would)

Yes very nicely done. This is the reason I go to OBH, hanging out with people like this, and only people like this for 4-5 days. Sorry you all had weather cut this short but from the few pictures I've seen of the crowd, it looked like fun was being had by all. Here's to all you hearty fans.

Spot on recap Eric!

The best way to describe last night was surreal. Having an an incredible museum to kill time in and the optimism and energy/vibe amongst the fans willing to wait out the delay in hopes of the boys eventually taking the stage, was amazing.

Out of the 500 or so shows I've been to in my life The Give Peace A Chance cover will definitely go down as one of my favorite concert moments ever.  It was a special moment to say the least and alone was well worh the 2h45min drive both ways and 2+hour rain delay.

I'm bummed I won't make it out for NYE or OBH, thus likely wrapping up The Waterfall live era for me - in that time I saw 12 MMJ shows (Boston Calling, Orpheum Boston x2, Beacon x4, Red Rocks x2, Portland ME, Forest Hills, Mass MoCA) 2 JJ solo shows, 2 Carl shows (one with whole band minus Jim), 1 Ray Lamontagne show, and one hell of a ride with good times I'll never forget.
