There are a couple spots the webcast cut out, "Dear God" is the only song really affected. A few other people recorded the webcast too, I'm sure a better copy will show up.
Don't freak out if you get a "File Unavailable" message; that's what Megaupload does when a lot of people are downloading a file. Just give it a minute or two and you should be able to download it no problem.
Thanks again! It sounds great! :)
Thanks!
I tried to record it through my Fostex multitracker, but got some background buzz thing going from my computer.
This is much better! ;D
good man Abe! I think I have a flawless copy but it will be a while til I can split it up.
So glad so many folks are recording things now!
great job abe...didn't think this would be up when I woke up this morning but I'm sure glad it is!! Thanks again
Thanks Abe!! Nice souvenir of the show!!
thanks abe, bad to the bone.
Abe thanks so much - it sound great.
I kept my stream open until this morning and was able to record Dear God and His master's Voice. I think I clipped them pretty close to where your track marks were.

fuck. that rip I did is fucked. session band is a long of the show. damn it. oh well. I might redo it the fucking shit encoded it to 128. lame. at least abe pimped this shit out like a mother fucker. the man's got skills.
Thanks for the effort in grabbing this show...funny how the sound guy hasn't a clue who is singing at the beginning of several songs with mic levels way low then ramping them up. Regardless, with all the flaws its still a great listen, thanks.
Thanks everybody! So what's the final word, should I download Abe's or Sticky's? Same same?
probably abes for sure. not sure haven't listened. on mine soul singer didn't track right and it's the rest of the show even though all the other songs are tracked right. it's really weird. but yeah. abe's got that shit on lock. maybe grab the dear god because of the 2min cut but other than that its probably the same.

Hi all! I emailed Abe because I haven't been able to open the download of the show. I have an apple laptop. Any help would be appreciate :)

bluesky, the file you downloaded is a .rar file. It's my understanding that .rar files are like .zip files- where all the songs are zipped up into one file- they need to be unzipped to properly use the files.
try downloading and installing this program: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17741/rar-expander
take the file you downloaded from abe and put it on your desktop (so its easy to navigate to. Right click/ ctrl click on that file and open with rar-expander. I've never used this program so I don't know exactly where to go from there but basically you want to unzip/extract/expand the .rar file to the desktop or another folder- then you can import the songs into itunes or whatever you use to play music.
hope that helps- pm if you've got more questions.
I just got a new macbook so I'm working this out myself. Winrar for Mac didn't work for me. So I downloaded a program called Zipec or something like that and it was able to open it for me.

the link i posted I just tested myself- it seems to work as well.
EDIT: bluesky- after downloading the application at the link I sent you. drag the application to the desktop or dock or applications folder. left click or ctrl click on the monsters of folk file that you downloaded from abe- then click open with then select RAR expander.
it'll ask you where you want to expand the file to- put it wherever (i put it on my desktop). the folder will be there then just drag the files to itunes or wherever.
Thanks for helping out bluesky everyone, I wasn't able to help out since I'm on a PC. I'm glad to see everything worked out.
Abe, A Mighty and A Million,
You guys are Ace! Thanks for your help! I downloaded the RAR expander and got it working. So happy, made my wet rainy cold day... I was at Friday and Sundays show and listened in on Monday. Now I can listen to all the songs that have been playing in my head! ;)
