Title: Carl Shows?
Post by: Sticky Icky Green Stuff on May 04, 2010, 06:36 PM
I saw an 8 track Carl show a few months ago on dimeadozen but it never let me download it, there were only three seeds.  when I went back to see if it was still there it wasn't unfortunately.  If I remember correctly the date was fairly recent.

anybody have insight into this little set?  I'd really dig hearing a carl solo set.  any help would be very much appreciated.

If you're talking about the Spin Indy show from 2007 it's on Musical Family Tree.

You can also download his album Lose What's Left there too.

Those are what I have.  I picked up some Old Pike cds awhile back too, but it doesn't really showcase the Carl like I'd like.

thank you very much.  I could be wrong but I think the show was from dec 09?  it could be one of those though.  none of the tracks were labeled so I really have no other info about it.

I have one Old Pike Record. It's not bad, I like that Carl's guitar sound doesn't seem to have changed much since then.

I know he played some shows back in October for Next Big Nashville and Bobby Bare Jr. Maybe it was one of those.
He's playing a couple of shows this week too. I hope some people have reviews.

The Steam Engine reviewed his show from last Friday, doesn't look like he recorded it though.  There is a youtube video linked:

I wish I could've seen him with Bobby Bare Jr. Saturday in Nashville but I couldn't make it work.

No recording of the show but I got a few videos. Looks like "Carried Away" is the only one up right now but I'll be uploading the rest later. It was awesome, I feel privileged to have been able to see him play a solo set. When I get into work a little later I'll get the rest of my videos up @ The Steam Engine.

That sucks. I'd love to see either one of them. The two of them on the same bill would have been a very good night out.
