No problem, I think you're gonna like it!
THANKS! Out of everything I lost this was my top priority.
Ooooh the top 40 hits are so good! :D Thanks again for this!
So I'm curious. Is this like Jim's top 40 favorite songs or what ???? And if it's not too much trouble, could someone re-upload it again since the updated link is now dead haha.
Ill re-up soon.
hmmm, i can no longer find the original thread....

No. It's of 47-song collection of Jim James' solo performances from 1978-2007. It's a must.
How do people share stuff like this since the demise of Megaupload?
the off the record on this set is awesome. it's so weird to here that song acoustic.
Send me a PM if anyone wants this.
This version of Wordless Chorus... I wish it was a physical thing so I could hug it, so good!

Of course! Now that you mention it, that's probably why I like it so much
While I was searching for these top 40, I found this site that has a large amount of of accoustic songs, both covers and originals by Jim James.
This is really awesome FYI
http://grooveshark.com/# (http://grooveshark.com/#)!/search?q=jim+james
Does anyone know how to download any of the Jim songs from grooveshark?? The Acoustic Z album listed as "Top 40 98-07" (minus the absent Lay Low) must join the collection on my ipod so my soul can escape my body into other worldly dimensions!!! :cheesy:
Yeah, is it still possible to get this music?
if you use chrome there's an extension called "grooveshark downloader"
This is my original post. Found it in the archives.
**EDIT***
Updated 1-9-13. Artwork is in the zip file. Tracks are all numbered and labeled.
So, a lot of new exciting stuff is going on these days with Evil Urges, new tour dates, etc, etc. so this just might get lost in the shuffle and that's OK. But I've been working on this for awhile, and I thought it could be a perfect distraction to help some of you get thru the waiting period until June 10th. It seems like a good point in time to wrap up the old and start a new collection!
I've found every available (that I know of) MMJ original song that was performed solo live (in or out of the studio) and tried to pick my favorite/best sounding version. 47 total tracks. It also follows basically the order at which the songs were released. If anyone knows of an original that is available solo and not represented here, please let me know! (I'm still waiting on the elusive Run Thru solo performance ;)) I think you all will enjoy this. I hope so.
Here they are, all of MMJ's top 40 hits of the seventies, eighties, nineties, zeroes and beyond! Timeless Classics such as.....

Disc Three

NOTE: If you decide to use the artwork, use the files in the downloads, not the ones attached to this post. Also, 90% of these tracks came from lossless flacs but I do not know how to create torrents so I had to zip them up as high quality mp3s to get them to fit.
Thanks again BH for searching, putting together, and posting these!
Made my day (when I really needed it)!
This is so fuckin' great. It had been awhile. Thanks, Dave!
Thanks!
Thank you BH for organizing all of the tracks and giving us the download links. Thank you also to Robb for information on the Google Chrome grooveshark downloader!!!
I love this set!
At Dawn was recorded where and when!?!?!?
Where can I find the EASY STREET RECORDS full recording? That sounds fantastic.
Also, I tried looking for the Camden waterfront set and can't find that either...
Any help would be great.

No luck yet on the Camden though...
Thanks.

7-23-2006 WXPN All About The Music Festival - Camden, NJ
If I remember right, Jim's set got rained out on Saturday, but they squeezed him in on Sunday. Thank goodness, because this was a great set. Sound is pretty darn good for an outdoor solo set and the setlist! Masterplan, Needed It Most, Sooner, Knot Comes Loose and I think the only know recording of I Can't Wait. Such a great song, I don't know why it never survived.

THANK YOU!!! The couple songs that are on the TOP 40 mix sound amazing - great mix that sounds like
a good SBD with a perfect amount of AUD (actually after listening to the whole thing, it sounds like just a good AUD recording).
I was literally about to make another ISO thread specifically for this show since I wasn't sure anyone saw my request in this thread.

Any updates on this, BH? Or am I good with my 5 year old version?
I've always wanted to do an update. I think I have 2-3 tracks that I've since found that I didn't have then but I've never got around to it. Maybe soon.
Thanks for all of the hard work! And thanks for updating the links every year! This will have to be my weekend listening since the OBH2 downloads didn't drop today
This is amazing. BH can I hug you?
Yes, hugs are welcome and encouraged.
Thanks for putting this up, I grabbed it as well. What a great compilation!

At the risk of sounding ungrateful (or possibly dumb), is there an upload with the song/file names included when importing to iTunes? I'm getting Song 1, Song 2, etc when uploading from this link.
I had a system crash and had to replace these but I could have sworn they came with the names before.
BTW - thanks to the uploaders and of course the person who complied these originally - I love this collection.

Sharing this on a couple more message boards. Thanks for the quickness!
edit: I'll just assume it's me, but the track names didn't import and disc 3 is a little jumbled with 2 track 1s, 6s, 9s. no big deal - really appreciate the efforts putting this together.
I just uploaded disc three and got the same problems. Not sure how that happened but I'm going to fix them all and re-do it.
Any ideas why I'm not getting the track names?
