Phenomenal tribute to the classic sophomore album w the same name from Blind Melon.
Love the idea of Friends Again!
We'll probably get something unexpected though...
Any word on the progress or timeline of the next album? I remember some social media posts of them in the studio but haven't heard much else.

"MMJ Live Vol. 3 is set to be released sometime in the summer.
Regarding a new studio album- Tom told me that while they had a successful studio session in November, and have more time booked later this month, they are taking their time, with no deadlines to hit or release date planned (yet)."
Awesome, thanks! Can't wait for the next studio album. And I remember someone saying Live Vol 3 is gonna be reallyyyy good.

It's pre-2015... in my opinion it's one of their "greatest hits" concerts that put them on the map for a lot of people. It's not the Beacon run though, for those wondering.

Roo 08?
I wish! That'd be like 12 discs haha
Roo 08 had a fair amount of covers and one off stuff didn't it? Not what I would call greatest his anyways and it seems a bit long for the vinyl treatment. I'd guess like Red Rocks '12 Night 2 or something.

Live Volume 3 is Bonnaroo 2004?

Live Volume 3 is Bonnaroo 2004?
Already released on Nugs.
https://www.nugs.net/live-download-of-my-morning-jacket-which-tent-bonnaroo-tn-06-12-2004-mp3-flac-or-online-music-streaming/2587.html#q=my+morning+jacket&srule=oldest&start=1&sz=12&searchResultsPage=true
So I put together a spreadsheet to see what percentage of shows have been released by the band by year, counting official albums & EPs, and the releases on nugs.net (OBH, Red Rocks, Port Chester, the rest). I have a screen shot with better data but posting pictures ain't no good here, so here's a basic breakdown.
Live
Year Shows Albums %age
2022 39 3 8%
2021 22 2 9%
2020 0 0 0% COVID
2019 4 1 25%
2018 3 3 100%
2017 20 3 15%
2016 16 3 19%
2015 83 13 16%
2014 3 3 100%
2013 31 0 0% Americarama tour
2012 56 7 13%
2011 73 2 3%
2010 35 0 0%
2009 13 1 8%
2008 60 4 7%
2007 21 2 10%
2006 74 3 4%
2005 62 5 8%
2004 60 1 2%
2003 87 1 1%
2002 78 1 1%
2001 44 1 2%
2000 49 0 0%
1999 10 0 0%
Personally, I'm most interested in the years with few or no releases, especially 2010, 2011, & 2013. 139 shows, only two official releases. Definitely curious as to what it turns out to be.
I dig the analysis, thanks for sharing!
Fascinating, thank you for sharing sillyboob!
Sometimes I like to use my spreadsheets to do good instead of evil.
Should be getting an update soon on this...
Anyone got the scoop on how the album is coming along?
