Okay, this tune just frickin' rawks! Thoughts on this lost classic??
I was a little surprised that it didn't turn up on At Dawn, but I suppose the guys thought another 'dumb rocker', next to Honest Man, would have been too much... The fact that I call it a 'dumb rocker' might already suggest those songs are not my most favourite of the MMJ catalogue. They're nice, but the only situation in wich they really fit is in a live show, I think. On a record, songs like It's about twilight now, The Dark, Honest Man and Lil Billy are a little too, err, 'dumb' for me. But hey, that's just my humble opinion!
Hold on now.
Are you callin' some of my favorite songs of all time "dumb"? That's pretty non-mellow, if you ask me!
Hey, 'dumb' can be good as well! I mean, I think Wild Thing and Louie, Louie are some of the dumbest songs ever, not to mention Tutti Frutti, but I love 'em too!
O, you went over the line with the dumb comment. we're done with bein mellow now. John, let's shake some rock and roll sense in this fella!
Hehe.. Okay, okay, I take it back! Please, fellas! Don't hurt me! I'm just a weak singer/songwriter-nerd that doesn't know what he's saying! Really! :'(
May the high priestess of rock and roll have mercy on your soul! ;)
O, you are lucky you're in Europe and I'm here...'cause I got my shit kicking shoes on today! ;)
Hee hee. I get what you mean...
Alright, I gotta back up John. There's nothing wrong with songs that simply, straightforwardly rock. We don't want rock and roll to get too cerebral. It's about passion!
