Title: MMJ Live CD
Post by: Bermuda Highway Patrol on Jun 13, 2005, 03:10 AM
I mean, seriously folks.  I know the albums are good and all, but there are so few bands who are exponentially better live(Led Zeppelin).  When I try to get people into MMJ, it's so hard to explain what the shows are like when they hear the CDs.

And yes, I have Acoustic Citsuoca.

Do you have the set from livebonnaroo.com? It's awesome too.

I agree. I think that after the next studio album they should release an official Live CD.  I've been saying it forever but the time will come soon.  I think it would be great for them because not only would the world be alerted that they rock in concert but it would be cool to hear them revisit some of there earlier hits, like is done of most live albums.  I liked to hear "War Begun" or "Old Sept Blues" busted out on this hypothetical live album.

i think a live dvd would be AWESOME. i've always wanted to see the entire 04 bonnaroo show. you know it was all taped, so why not release it!!! and tack on the OBH music vid as an extra. that'd be AWESOME. or they could just tape a show after their new disc comes out.

Seems a little over due but have to think that maybe it is in the works or one will come from the next tour....

As cool as it would be, they already have a couple live options, lots of bootlegs and are still a relitively young group in terms of releases.  I'm not sure a live CD is the best way to get someone into a group... a live experience on the other hand...

I remeber someone on here saying they recorded the 2 nights in Austin in October 2003 for a live record.  What ever happened with that?
