Title: Carl frickin rocks
Post by: tomEisenbraun on Jul 26, 2005, 03:28 PM
As one of the Jacket's newer members, I'd say he gets a little bit overlooked. I found this really cool place

http://www.musicalfamilytree.com/bands.php?BandID=11

It's got an albums worth of his stuff for free download. It's pretty decent. I'm really diggin on Sunday Driver's. It's very mellow. Apparently he's classically trained as a guitarist, so he's got some serious sense of music. Big improvement over Johnny on that front then.

I like Carl. Plus, he is sexy.  ;)

I'm listening to it right now as well and "Now It's Dark" is really amazing.  Carl IS a really talented guy plus his dance moves are SEXY HOT.

Wow, I just layed down and listened to all these songs in a row and it's really good, remindes me of M.Ward and Andrew Bird.  The guitar is so soothing and beautiful.  Some really great songs as well.  Carl should definatly put out a solo record in the near future.  As for a pic of a hot dance move...I took this one at the Exit/In last year, you can't get the full effect without video though.

A couple of em didn't really strike my fancy. I Fell... was a good idea, but got a little long. But I think he's damn solid, and every song can't be great, you know? We all write stuff that ain't the best, but there's a lot of stuff that's really nice, too.
