Have MMJ ever played this cover live? And if so, is there a recording of it? I seriously think this cover is hilarious and incredible at the same time...I'd love to hear a live version.
Thanks,
Horko
Yes,not sure if it's live but it's on the "Learning: Early Recordings" CD.....the one with the orange cover.

Much better. Is West End Girls feminine, though? Maybe you mean sensitive?
At first, I thought you meant PC as in computer. heh.
nah, doin ok with those. if you have read my posts, and i know u have, i could use some sensitivity training. ;) still can't wait to see Kathleen Edwards! ::)
admission: i don't mind listening to that song, even know all the words...not that there are many

Let us not forget that West End Girls was written & first performed by the Pet Shop Boys famous for being gay.
Nothing wrong with that, of course, just pointing out the facts. :)
what about MMJ doing Take My Breath Away with the outtakes from Top Gun? I think that alone was worth the price of the record. That song borders on Celine Dion for utter velveeta-like cheesedom! and still, the Jacket makes it work. i remember watching my parents slow-dance to the original by Berlin... oh Tom Cruise and your devilish Scientologic ways... and Goose! oh Goose!!!
I loved the original of that song! ;)
oh dude... me too! don't tell anyone (other than the hundred or so reading this board) but i have a special secret place in my heart for songs like that. the eighties are a treasure chest full of fist-pumping awesomeness!

Can I hear love for Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart?
Truly beautiful/epic/fist-pumping-awesome stuff! ;)
mad love to bonnie tyler... also, gotta give it up to my childhood idol (much to my folks' dismay) samantha fox. was there ever a more inappropriate thing than the 8 year-old me singing "touch me"? i think not...
any REO Speedwagon fans? he fucking rocked the 80's man. The Pet Shop Boys were gay? What's next, Wham? C'mon, don't be ridiculous. ;)

You ain't heard nothing yet Link! Elton John, believe it or not, totally gay! ;)
wish he had a dick in his mouth permanently so we wouldn't have to hear anymore of his crap. sorry. ;D
C'mon guys...
wow.
ok. my bad. seroiusly need that sensitivity training. i am off this thread. :-/
Tell us how you really feel,Link. ;)
And I think EJ is married now to another guy so you will prolly get part of your wish.
I like EJ's old stuff(Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is a masterpiece)but I agree his new stuff blows...pun intended.

I love Elton's early records!
Your Song, Daniel, Rocket Man, Honky Cat, Yellow Brick Road, Country Comforts, My Fathers Gun (from Elizabethen Town) etc are all classics.
Speaking of Elizabethen Town, the movie features a band called Ruckus, anybody heard of them? ;)
Yeah, dude, c'mon lets stop being' gay, west end girls was funny at that, but when you here the jacket rippen live Black Sabbath covers you know you have some heavy stuff. Lets keep it real ya'll, gimme some "Honest Man"
