Title: Jim & MMJ on Others Peoples Songs
Post by: dragonboy on Sep 08, 2005, 05:47 PM
Is there a list anywhere of tracks that Jim or MMJ have guested on?
If there isn't, could we make one?
I know that Jim is on the new Kathleen Edwards CD & I remember hearing that they had done some work with Andrew Bird? Many more?
Thanks  :)

He does some wonderful harmonizing and very special aaahhhhs on M Ward's Transistor Radio.  :)

If you don't have that album, you definitely need to.  It's so so good.

And Carl is said to maybe sometimes play with the band Hands Down Eugene (who have songs on their myspace page).  Plus he has written some songs himself.

Carl also occasionally contributes his guitar skills with friend and favorite, Stoll Vaughan (currently on tour with Fogerty/Mellencamp, touring as the opening act).

NEW RECORD
The new record is almost complete. Featuring 14 new songs, the record will be the follow up to Vaughan's debut album "Hold on Through Sleep and Dreams." The second album features a cast of impressive musicians such as Carl Broemel of "My Morning Jacket" on guitar, Jake Smith of "Mysteries of Life" on bass, Moe Z of "The Wallflowers" and "John Mellencamp" on wurlizter and hammond, and Devon Ashley of "Over the Rhine," and "The Peices" on drums. Jason Wilber of "John Prine" will also be featured on several tracks.
