Title: FTP Server
Post by: peanut butter puddin surprise on Sep 25, 2005, 01:40 PM
heya, I've got good news...

drop me an email, and i'll send ya the password/username.  I've tested it a few times and it appears to work a-ok on my cable connection.

There's a wealth of live recordings on there from the past 5 years or so.  O and the first tribute record are also on there...check it out!

let the downloadin' begin!

Thanks John you rock!  Can't wait to dig in.  Can we upload files or do we need to get your approval to do so?

heya, drop me a line and let me know what it is you want to upload.

the policy is as follows as the only are allowed:

-all MMJ music
-all live recordings
-nothing that is otherwise for sale

The notable exceptions are the folder "Music by O" and the "Tribute" folder.

oh, and thanks for the kudos, y'all...rock rock! ;)

hey y'all, if you could pretty please send all requests to my email (no pm or posts here) that would really help...i'm getting a LOT of requests as you can imagine, and having them in one place makes it a hell of a lot easier...

also, the email is pretty much to the point as it's a form i made...my hands got tired typing those first hundred emails, so i replicated my efforts!

enjoy!

to get onto the FTP do you need to have some sort of software? or can you jjust click the link? because i click the link and it always fails, but i dont have software.

Does this make a difference on a Mac?

on a Mac, you definitely need software...do a google search on bearware or FTP clients for Mac.  the way i have it now it's setup specifically for IE or Firefox.  which browser are you using??

Is filezilla like mozilla, except for ftp?  Because I can't stand using regular mozilla for ftp stuff.  It drives me crazy.  I usually have to have mozilla and IE open...

Let me know, ftpimp  [smiley=pimp.gif] (<-- look at the featha in his hat.  werrrrrd.)

well, its relation to Mozilla is only due to it being open source...

filezilla is an excellent FTP client program...the FTP Pimp gives it his 5 star rating... ;D

So is this a permanent thing?  Or just temporary?  And if it's permanent, will our password expire or can we keep the same on going?  I'd like to be able to yank some of the upcoming shows in the coming months.  I've gotta keep rocking! [smiley=guitar.gif]
