I love "Why Don't You Love Me" as well I was really close to including it. I had totally forgot about "This Magic Moment" until you and Tracy metioned it, that's another great one. I like your thinking Corey. I was also close to inclucing the "Easy" cover from the live show. I just love everthing about that particular recording of that particular song, he only knows one verse so he just does it twice, and yet everthing about the performance was so perfect.
I haven't heard that version of "Easy". I need to seek it out. Is it on the archive?
QuoteI haven't heard that version of "Easy". I need to seek it out. Is it on the archive?

Could you guys take a note as to where to find your favorite covers, as some of these I've never seen on Archive or on an album.... Perhaps I should get this FTP access everyone is talking about?

Every time you come around
You gotta bring Jim James' _________
and what does Badu say for this line? I have never heard the original)
3.Why don't you love me? (the way JIm sings over himself with the extra reverb in the background and that twangy geetar that blends into the distorted drum solo at the end make me want to grab the nearest bottle of wiskey/pills/wine/etc and start chuggin)
4.Rocketman (slowed down nicely)
5.White Rabbit (very trippy)

Pink Floyd's
Little Darla,. vol 14
Here's a list of covers MMJ's done, in case you all hadn't seen it

Sorry, I'm in the dark about O Holy Night. I'd like to hear that too.
Mother, like it was stated above, is the Pink Floyd Song that Jim did on Darla Vol 14. For some reason it didn't make the Early Recordings CD's like all the other Darla rarities. I found it on the internet.
Is it illegal to download a song when it is completely unavailable? I would have paid $20 just for this song but there was no way to purchase it! If you are a Pink Floyd/MMJ fan you must find and listen to this song. It's a religious experience.
QuoteThe line is Jim, James, Paul and Tyrone" in both versions, but it kicks more ass when MMJ does it.
Sweet! Thanks Sweatboard. I always assumed he was saying something about himself, but the fact that the original is Jim comma James makes it even cooler!
I heard him play "You Were Always On mY Mind" by Willie and it pretty awesome.
Can Papa Joe Bear or Mr. T please enlighten the rest of us on the "O Holy Night" that you speak of?
O Holy Night was done for an X-Mas show on radio WFPK (?) in Louisville.
The recording is perfect. They also play (among others) New Morning, a kickass version of X-Mas Curtain and
Santa Claus Is Back In Town.
Drop Mr John Conaway a mail and he might hook you up with this killer stuff.
Oh yeah favorite covers
Everybody's Talkin'
Rocket Man
